Great "Time Travel" Experience for Kids and Adults - Wandering the corridors of the old prison was really a strange feeling. The building and cells which are assessable were in good shape. It was a pity not being able to walk into the old parts, which are more of lost place, but visible behind a glass wall. The stories about the inmates and the interactive games/performances made the experience more real and comprehensible.

Great day out with kids - Interesting place. Amazing stories would go back again in a few years. Coffee shop could be expanded

/ - Great experience! Place steeped in history The guide written in French describes the different events of the prison quite well and we can imagine life inside it quite well.

Must do! - We were able to catch the 2pm guided tour and it was great! We were planning on just walking around but the tour made it much more in depth and interesting. Our tour guide was kind and well informed. If you are in cork don’t miss out on the unexpected surprise!

Excellent historic attraction. - This attraction has been restored and opened up to the public giving a hands on experience to visitors. The staff are great , the use of audio visuals are really useful and access to the real prison is perfect.

Excellent Attraction - What a great experience. It's amazing that it is run and operated by a private company that invested less than €1m (inclusive of an EU grant of €0.5m) to restore the derelict buildings about thirty years ago. If the Government / OPW had been carrying out the task of renovation, it would have cost tens of millions and would have taken about 20 years to complete. Thank goodness for private enterprise.

Worth a visit - It's 11€ to get in, which we thought a little steep, but on reflection, we really enjoyed this museum. The jail is pretty much as it was, so it feels quite eerie at times, but it does a great job of telling its history. The self-guided tour is great, as all the info is given with the accompanying booklet, meaning you can go around at your own pace. There's a small shop selling hot drinks but no actual café on site. Luckily, it's not too far from the bars along the river.

Worth a visit - Overall worth a visit, on top of hill so pace yourself if walking up and around. Peaceful place, and full of history. A bit pricy at €11 euros each only downside and an extra €2 for audio.

Fascinating and unnerving in equal measure - A really interesting place to visit and I strongly advise popping your head through the door if you get the chance. Can't fault the visit at all, the fascinating insight into the workings of the gaol is not to be missed.
