An historicaal tour of Corfu, fantastic value - The tour was fascinating. Our guide was Efi: charming, knowledgeable, helpful, and with perfect English. (I think she also offers the tour in German, but I'm not certain.) The historical material was very detailed, and to the extent that the incidents took place in Corfu town, Efi told us the stories at the sites where they happened. Stories is the key word: Efi structures her tour around a large number of historical narratives, which she illustrates by means of an extensive portfolio of historical photographs. This made the characters and incidents come alive for us beautifully. We crammed a great deal of information into the two hours (and overran by a few minutes). Thanks Efi, and if we manage to get back to Corfu we will hope to see you again for another tour.

Don't Miss This Tour - A fascinating alternative way of experiencing the complex web of Corfu's history. Each stop and story was fantastic on it's own, but where the tour really shined for me was the multiple "ah ha!" moments as I connected the dots between events. We were lucky enough to be on one of the first official runs of this tour, but it was so seamless we would never have guessed it wasn't the 200th. The tour spanned a nice spectrum of stories, from the lighthearted to the grim and dark. Plenty of visual aids helped provide context on the who/what/when of each stop. Incredibly grateful that we were able to meet Efi and experience this tour during our brief time in Corfu.

Unusual and Fun Way to Explore Old Town - Giving you a broad overview of the history of Old Town along with specific and detailed stories, this tour is fast paced and full of facts, fun, and mysteries - 2.5 hours flew by so quickly! We had such a great time and learned a lot. Efi expertly used the backdrop of Old Town and its various monuments and surroundings, along with her own wonderful visual aids, to really help bring each story to life. This was a great introduction to the history Old Town with stories from Corfu, the Seven Islands, and greater Greece, Europe, Eurasia, and even the US. One of the best parts was making all of the connections between the major players of the time (which is to be be expected given the prevalence of inbreeding and marriages arranged for power plays/alliances, but it was still fun to see all of the interrelatedness (literary) between the various stories). I would highly recommend!
