Colourful Route (included in the All Routes ticket): First bus departs at 11:45am, last bus departs at 4:45pm. Tour duration - 55 minutes. Buses run every 60 minutes

Great way to see the city. - We used the 48hour option for the ticket and it was a worthwhile way fo exploring the city. The staff were friendly and bus driver was great.

Hop on tour - Easy to navigate. 90 minute tour. Best point was mermaid. Hard to justify price compared to other city tours as not much to actually see.

Enjoying coppenhagen - It was very useful to get around the city and enjoy sightseeing, me and my friend had fun together and the good thing is we enjoyed going around the city the next day as well

Good orientation to the city on arrival. - Good basis to start the city sightseeing, especially on stormy/gusty day on 20th Oct! The woman rep at Stop 12 provided a really helpful start and a simple timetable to take picture of. The 3 routes Red, Green, Purple were worth it and ran over the stormy weather!

Be careful of similiar business with same branding. Confusing. - Confusing business name detracts from the experience. Two different companies operating with the same looking big, red, double decker buses, but different routes, stops and different canal cruises and no effort by either company to clarify. Totally confusing for customers and completely detracts from the experience. Confused customers left at stops to sort it out between themselves if they at the right stop or getting on the right bus. A read of the Tripadvisor reviews (as at 5 October 2023) shows more one star reviews than five star reviews and I've never seen such a poor record. Most reviews talking about the confusing, similiar named and branded buses. Clearly management is not listening, or is and doesn't care. So the tip is to read the business name carefully to make sure you are at the right stop, for the right company. Even in attempting to write this review I had trouble finding the correct company and still not 100% sure I have the right one. The buses themselves are clean and comfortable and the tour represents good value and is a really convenient way to get around and get you bearings in a new city. Hits all the highlights. My tour had no trouble with the audio sequencing as some report, though only every second headset jack in the back of the seat was working.

More info please - The information given on the tour can be so much better. Tell us about the history, the vikings ... not the food!!!! Very disappointed in the commentary. Purple and green tours can't really be labelled hop on hop off if you only go past every 2 hours. The staff are lovely though.

Don’t bother. Waste of time and money - It was awful. Stops were impossible to locate even with the online maps. Drivers were nasty and impatient. Many stops were not made because of another event. It wasn’t listed on the site. Total waste of money. A refund would definitely be in order.

Avoid buying 72hr ticket in advance of trip - Not recommended. Beware of buying the 72hr ticket in advance as a glitch in the system means the driver cannot detect when the ticket is first used. I purchased mine a few days before the trip and the driver was unwilling to let us board as he claimed we could have been using the ticket since the date of purchase. After arguing for 10 minutes a second driver arrived and admitted the system was at fault. There are many Hop on Hop Off buses in Copenhagen I would choose a more professional company.

Scam! Avoid the Royal HOHO Bus Especially at Cruise Port! - Avoid the Royal HOHO bus at all costs! We were in Copenhagen via a cruise ship and they came to the cruise terminal. I wish we had researched more and checked TripAdvisor reviews before buying tickets. This company's bus only runs until 5:30pm and we were back at the bus stop downtown by 4:30pm and the bus never came to the stop. There's no email address or phone number to contact anyone to ask either. We saw plenty of other HOHO buses from the other companies come and go (suggest buying from them instead, one was called Stromma). We ended up paying over $40 USD for a taxi to take us back to the port. Due to weather reasons the ship ended up staying overnight in Copenhagen and the bus ticket stated it was good for 24 hours, so we went to the bus the next morning thinking we could at least ride the bus a full tour for our money's worth. First they said, "no" we couldn't board the bus, but then I showed them where it said it was good for 24 hours. They then said "ok, but you would have to pay for the shuttle ticket back to the port as an extra cost." Absolute scam. As we were arguing, we thankfully were able to tell other cruisers to not book with them as there were other buses there as well. Learn from our $80 USD (2 tickets) lesson and I'll consider it a good deed if this review helps anyone else avoid this company. Note, ROYAL is the one that has the crown on the side of the bus.
