Highlights
  • Corcovado - Christ the Redeemer - We visit to Corcovado Mountain and the Christ the Redeemer statue going through the Paineiras route. The 20-minute drive to the base of the statue takes you through the Tijuca Forest and gives you a preview of the landscapes ahead. The statue stands 710 meters tall and from this vantage point, you’ll have sweeping views of the city.
  • Sugarloaf Mountain - The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is done in 2 stages: begin at the boarding station to Urca Mountain (224 meters) and then from Urca Mountain to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain (395 meters).
  • Morro da Urca - The first step to reach the Sugarloaf.
  • Praia Vermelha - Located between the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Urca Mountain, the Praia Vermelha is a charming place.
  • Escadaria Selaron - Located in Santa Teresa, the Selarón Steps are famous for its bright and colourfull tiles.
  • The Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian - The modern archtecture is very different from the traditional cathedrals we see out there. Enjoy the beautiful stained glasses and try to guess the biblical passages they got their inspiration from.
  • Maracana - Football - or soccer, if you prefer - is part of the Brazilian life. We love to watch the games and share experiences with complete strangers that get together for one purpose: support their team on the field. The Maracanã Stadium is considered our temple and a sacred place for those who enjoy a great game. We can take pictures outside of the Stadium and share stories about our favorite matches.
  • Sambodromo da Marques de Sapucai - See the Carnival temple, the place where the magic happens. The Sambadrome opens only during carnival time.

Amazing - What a totally amazing place the views are excellent. We were lucky as there was no low cloud and could see for miles Our guide took us up there early and missed the hoards of people that eventually arrived. We used the lifts and escalator to get to the main area. Then take the photos of the views. The journey up to the site is a winding cobble road with train tracks that make for a bumpy ride up. An even bumpier trip down. We then went onto view other areas of Rio. The steps with multi coloured tiles, football stadium cathedral and lunch before going onto the sugar loaf which a cable car taking you up there again showing amazing views.on the first level there are shops an restaurants. Here if you like Havana flip flops you can get a bargain. We then go up another cable car to the Sugar loaf. The tour we booked was via Viator the guide was excellent very informative. I believe his name was Flaval. Would highly recommend this company and your.

Perfect day in Rio! - Highly Recommended! This tour was just perfect for me as I only had 2 days in Rio, but wanted to see the main attractions. Helber was our guide, and when I went down to my hotel lobby 5 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, he was already there waiting for me. I really appreciated it. Once I got on the van, they continued picking up more people for the next 30 minutes. If you sign u for his tour, make sure you install Whatsapp as they contact you there- and be at the pic up point on time! Our tour started at Christ the Redeemer, then Maracana, Catedral, Escadaria Selarón, Lunch buffet, and sugar loaf. So much in one day but I did not feel rushed. Helber is literally the friendliest guy you will meet in Brasil, and he led the group so well. He gave attentions to everyone and made sure we are having a good time! Our driver was also friendly and fun! I was back at my hotel before 5pm. Considering this tour includes all the admissions and lunch, it is a good value. The best thing about this is I did not have to worry about getting from point A to B, to C, D and timing. I loved everything! Book this tour!

Completely satisfied - Pick-up worked really well. Very good German-speaking guide, had a lot of fun. The guide explained things really well and took pictures of us so we were both in them. Thank you very much for that and 100% recommended.

Good tour of Rio - Selaron steps, Christ the Redeemer were pretty amazing. Views from the top of sugarloaf were great. Would have to say, lunch place was pretty dreadful, not nice food and was very late in the tour. Also would prefer a tour where guide was speaking several different languages. Was distracting.

Hang on for your life - The tour was actually very good probably worth more than 3 stars .. if you've got limited time or want to tick it off in a day then it's a good choice. Guide was good.... driver not so I understand we are in south america...maybe they do drive crazy? However this driver was unacceptable...dangerous infact. We had 2 serious emergency braking incidents. Racing around for no reason..weaving in and out...going around corners like as fast as possible...not a nice experience. I think he forgot he had people including children in the van... This guy may think it's acceptable and he was a good driver but take it from me as a professional driver for over 30 years carrying the most precious cargo you can he was disgraceful!! Should be ashamed of himself. Sugar loaf was the best stop on the trip.. if you have time do it alone but. No need for a trip... definitely safer !
