The stunning Gables is home to the iconic Wynns Coonawarra label and we will take you through the history of the Wynns story and discuss John Riddoch, the man who launched Coonawarra as a premium wine region.
We’ll then show you a range of Wynns wines that will suit any pallette and even take a look in the original cellar. No trip to Coonawarra is complete without visiting Wynns.
- Coonawarra Siding - You simply must stop for a selfie at the siding when in Coonawarra! We’ll swing by and make sure you get that perfect photo opportunity while learning about the people that opened the railway in the 1800s and made Coonawarra accessible to the world.
- Katnook Coonawarra - Katnook lies in the heart of the fabled Coonawarra wine region, South Australia. With a history stretching back to 1867, Katnook is home to some of Australia’s best terra rossa vineyards. Step inside John Riddoch’s beautifully restored, historic limestone building, now our Cellar Door, to taste our wines and find out why they are one of the best in the region.
- Raidis Estate - At this welcoming family winery, you’ll enjoy a full range of tastings and relax in this hugely welcoming cellar door. Whether it’s relaxing on the comfy couches or lying in the sun on the lawns, it’s always a fun visit with the Raidis team.
The Raidis family are of Greek origin and produces the only Pinot Gris grown in Coonawarra so make sure you try it! You may even end the day with a Greek coffee from the head of the family, Chris Raidis.

A day at the wineries. - My wife and I did the half day wine tour with Simon on Wednesday, 27th March. We were fortunate to be the only persons on the tour that day. Simon was very nice and knowledgeable about the area and the wineries we visited. Tasted many fine wines, and the lunch at Patrick's was great. Would recommend Coonawarra Experiences to anyone who is in the area.

Brilliant afternoon of wine tasting - Brilliant afternoon of wine tasting, wine education and local history presented by our delightful guide. Lunch was a delicious platter of cheeses, meats and preserves. The winery staff were helpful, informative and friendly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic Experience - A superb trip with Kerry! Kerry was friendly, very helpful (even helped us with our search to find long lost family friends) and took us to 3 excellent wineries on our tour. Sampled lots of wines and had a lovely lunch. It was a lovely relaxed day where we saw some lovely scenery and met great people. Would thoroughly recommend!

Excellent - Our tour today was fantastic. Simon who led the tour was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. He was always ensuring that we were having a good time and had everything we needed.
He also went the extra mile to ensure we got all we wanted from the trip.
The area is beautiful, the lunch was delicious and we got to sample a lot of wine.
I would highly recommend this tour as a great way to get to know the region.

Coonawarra Experiences - The overall experience we had was excellent. From the pick-up for our visit to Mayura Station for what can only be described as the most enjoyable experience, the food and wine was next level.
The following day, our tour of the Coonawarra Wine Region along with lunch at Ottelia was excellent.
Our host, Simon was a mine of information on the region and took the time to explain to us the history of the Coonawarra and its early inhabitants, all of which we both found of great interest.
The accommodation provided by Simon & Kerry was superb as was the Wine and chocolates..

A wonderful afternoon in Penola - We randomly booked our half day tour in Penola with Coonawarra Experiences. We were very lucky to do so. Simon was our tour guide. He picked us up at our motel precisely on time. We visited several vineyards. Out first stop also served us a delightful lunch. Each winery were wonderful hosts and served us ample selections of their wines. Simon also showed us several places of interest in the delightful Penola. We could not have asked for a better guide than Simon. His personality - knowledge -and sheer enthusiasm and decency made our tour a life experience. We would recommend Simon and Coonawarra Experiences to anyone visiting the wonderful Coonawarra and Penola. Thank you Simon sincerely for such a delightful experience.

Winery tour - We arrived in Penola on a Monday afternoon and found it so easy to book a half day tour on the Tuesday with Simon. He asked what sort of wines we were looking for and arranged an itinerary to suit. Kerry picked us up on time and took us to four fabulous wineries with lunch at Patricks. She was informative and knowledgeable about not only wines but also the history of the area.
I would thoroughly recommend booking a tour with them to anyone.
