- Marine Pde at Kirra Beach - Meet at our Learn To Surf truck in the car park near the Greenmount Surf Club to change into a long sleeved rash shirt or wetsuit and collect your surf board. Walk on to the beach for some safety and basic instruction information. Begin catching some small waves in waist deep water and then return to the beach for more detailed instruction about how to stand up on your surf board. The remainder of the time will be spent in the water with the instructor helping everyone to stand up. Return to the trailer to drop off the equipment and then take a shower and change.

Immerse yourself in a thrilling 2-hour surf tutorial on the renowned Coolangatta Beach. Opt for one of the most beloved surf academies in Australia and spend two hours under the guidance of an experienced local who has been instructing surfing since 1987. We provide long sleeve rash guards for the summer and wetsuits for the colder winter months, alongside beginner-friendly soft surfboards, ensuring a session filled with learning and excitement.

Great experience! - Booked a group lesson and I was the only one to book so I ended up getting a solo lesson ! Great experience as someone who had never tried surfing before, Johnny is a great instructor who is very friendly and knowledgeable. Johnny made it easy to feel comfortable trying something new, I was able to get standing right away and ride waves for the entire lesson with his instruction!

Great experience! - Amazing surf lesson with Johnny! He is a great instructor, I was able to stand up every single time with his instruction and it was my first time ever surfing! Coolangatta beach is a great beach to learn at as the waves are not too big. Very friendly person who made it easy and comfortable to try something new!

Amazing - The instructor, Arthur Macquart, was extremely helpful and patient with us. He gave great advice and was a joy to surf with. Overall a great experience and would absolutely do it again!

Best surf instructor on the Goldy - Without doubt the best surf instructor on the Coast. Johnny has priceless experience and a way of teaching that suits any level of experience. Gave our son one of the best days of his life and you could see Johnny was nearly as thrilled as him to see him doing well. Don’t waste your time on others.

Great way to get familiarized with surfing - I really loved the experience and would highly recommend it! The instructor was super nice, gave great advice and helped me catch all the right waves, which really boosted my morale as a beginner. Will definitely be coming back for some further lessons :)

Great fun in the surf, learning from a pro - Had a great time. Tarj was a great teacher, very thorough. So much better learning the right way than having a go and getting it consistently wrong. Also good advice on safety and wave/rip info.
