Shopping at the market and making lunch - Andre and family was gracious hosts. Andre was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable- we lived walking through the market and shopping for the ingredients for our lunch. The meal - we chose fried fish, coconut rice and a salad was delicious! I did this tour with my 20 year old son. Be both enjoyed all aspects of this tour. Highly recommended while in Cartagena!!!

Authentic Cartagena - We have done cooking classes in the past in other parts of the world. This was an extremely unique experience. We were picked up in an air conditioned vehicle. The selection of dishes we could prepare was explained. We went to the very large market where ALL of the locals shop. We tried a delicious juice, breakfast and quite a few samples of local fruit. We acquired what was needed for the meal. We felt like VIPs being invited into their family home. We helped prepare a delicious meal. We enjoyed dancing in kitchen with Maria! This is a great tour for someone who doesn't want to do a quintessential tourist type of thing.

A wonderful opportunity to step outside the old city and spend time with a local family. - We spent a week in Cartagena and this was the highlight for us. It was wonderful to travel outside the old city and see the main market and also spend time in a typical family’s house engaging in cooking and conversation. Marie Angelica and her mother were absolutely delightful, warm and engaging and keen to talk about Colombian cooking and cuisine. The food we cooked together was delicious. The trip through the market was fascinating. We learned a lot, tried a lot of new foods and under the gaze of Marie Angelica felt very safe. Would highly recommend this tour.

Our best experience in Cartagena - The market tour and cooking lunch with Duran and his family, in their home, was a one-of-a-kind experience. My wife and I loved our time tasting Colombian fruit, learning about the market, experiencing lunch in a Colombian family’s home.Duran and his daughter Maria made us feel comfortable and were tremendous guides. It was the best thing we did in Cartagena.

A Truly Great Experience! - This was a truly great experience. We love Colombian food and eat it every chance we get. The stuffed fish and rice was excellent as well as the desert. The Market we visited was unlike the markets we have at home it also was a great experience.
