Pleasant informative tour - Nice mellow tour of the everglades. Very informative and well run. We didn’t canoe, but there is an option to canoe one way on the ride.

Magical Experience on the Everglades - Highly recommend! - What an amazing tour! Steve kindly helped us in organising an Everglades Explorer Tour and it was a great experience from start to finish. All the staff that we dealt with were professional, friendly and knowledgeable and the tour itself was great value. The everglades are truly a special experience, and having the option to canoe was brilliant. We had lovely gourmet muffins for morning tea and enjoyed a delicious lunch and beer at the microbrewery & restaurant after. It was a beautiful day all round and we are already looking forwards to heading back. Thanks to the Everglades Eco Safari team! Ché & Matt

Noosa Canoeing Everglades Tour - We had fun on our excursion to the Noosa Everglades. We had a guided boat ride up the river with a delicious morning snack and then we canoed back down the river. There was an opportunity to go swimming, however we weren’t prepared with our bathing suits. It was difficult to find information on what we needed to bring with us on our tour. The Noosa Everglades website had a video showing guests doing various activities, but we didn’t know which activities were included in our tour. We enjoyed seeing the kangaroos hanging out on the site.

Worth doing, quite beautiful. - The only reason it’s not a 5 is that there is not much in the way of wildlife. Plus a map showing the trip and the points of interest mentioned would be great. You lose perspective out on the water. That said it is very interesting and so peaceful. The “mirror” section that gives you the most beautiful reflections is quite something. Staff are super helpful. Well run operation. A tip- don’t sit in the front seats as there is plastic in front of your view. Back further with open windows is better.

Great reflection photographs - Don’t miss the photo opportunities! Our skipper Peter is passionate about the Everglades environment. We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip. It’s a pity that the coach driver that took us from Noosa wasn’t as entertaining as Peter.

Pretty, but lifeless. - This was a tour I'll not soon forget. Not because I loved it. "Pure fresh water pulses out of the Cooloola Sandmass and filters through the tea tree infused ecosystem into this unique river system - creating the most amazing reflections you will ever see." Sounds pretty good, Right? Sadly the great reflections are all you're going to see. Don't be drawn in by buzzwords such as "Eco" and "Safari" or the website's verbiage: "This unique environment is relatively untouched, and is one of Australia's most diverse ecosystems. It is a photographer's dream, a bird watcher's paradise, and a nature lover's escape." All of this would tend to lead one to expect, as I did, to see a great diversity of birds and wildlife in a relatively pristine and unique environment. The Everglades are indeed pristine, and really very beautiful, but what they fail to mention in the literature is that the tea trees make the water so acidic that the entire area is inhospitable to most life. What you experience on the tour is a very pretty, quiet journey down a lifeless river, surrounded by a monoculture of acid tolerant trees. Nothing moves, no sound... it's like Chernobyl. You'd be hard pressed to find an Eco Safari more devoid of wildlife. Leave your binoculars and DSLR at home. The tour seems contrived to funnel guests to the operator's Restaurant/Brewery where you can experience the fish fingers and fries for $39.00. Sadly, that's the only menu item i can remember because my brain may have short - circuited upon seeing the price. If you take the offered transportation, expect to cool your heels in the restaurant for 1.5-2h after the tour, long enough to compel you to dig in your couch cushions or take out a loan to fund lunch. Overall, a pretty, and unique place to visit, and a nice, invigorating paddle, but don't go expecting to fill your bird watching book.
