• Villa Erba - Constructed by the noble Erba family in the early 1900s, Villa Erba has gained recent fame from films like Ocean’s 12 and Star Wars. It is highly sought after for private events such as luxury weddings and is typically closed to the public. Viewing it from the lake is the only way to admire it.
• Villa d’Este - A luxury hotel with a floating pool.
• Villa Le Fontanelle - Built in the 19th century in the neoclassical style by the eccentric Lord Charles Currie, Villa Fontanelle was purchased by Italian designer Gianni Versace in 1977, who restored it to its neoclassical glory. Completed in December 1980, the restoration included a large ornamental garden with three cottages, a tennis court, and an 800-meter lakefront facade. After Versace’s death, the property was sold to Russian Arkady Novikov for 33 million euros.

• The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como - Located in Blevio, the Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como is another 5-star luxury hotel. It offers a spa, lake views, elegant rooms and suites, two independent villas, a refined restaurant, and extensive gardens. The hotel is housed in the beautiful Villa Roccabruna, built in 1910 by the family of Turin industrialist Emilio Wild. The villa faced several periods of decline in the latter half of the 20th century, nearly falling into ruin. It was renovated and transformed into a luxury hotel in 2010.
• Villa Troubetzkoy - Built in the 1800s by Russian Prince Alexandre Troubetzkoy, Villa Troubetzkoy earned the nickname “Turbascogli” or “Rock Disturbance” due to the use of mines to quickly remove large boulders. After five years of restoration, it is now a luxury boutique hotel with a swimming pool and spa overlooking the lake.
• Villa Pliniana - Situated on an inlet of Lake Como and surrounded by lush vegetation, Villa Pliniana is nestled in the rock. Nearby, the Valle Colorata stream plunges into Lake Como after a seventy-meter waterfall. The loggia divides the main floor into two distinct parts, housing two large rooms, the reception, the billiard room, the dining room, and the kitchen.
