A popular trek among locals of every age; a path that leads you through stunning scenery, enigmatic boulders and dangling rocks, and a township brimming with history, all experienced by foot or via the delightful modes of transport like the funicular and a boat. A fulfilling meal at a characteristic mountain hut on the hills is also part of the journey. The trip embodies nature, curiosity, native cuisine, and unique transportation: an ideal route for leisurely paced families and groups desiring to discover the beauty of our Lake in a combination of relaxation and entertainment.
IMPORTANT: Due to scheduled upkeep, the funicular will remain closed through November 2022. A bus service from Como to Brunate will substitute the cable car service during this period.

Not to be missed! - Personally, I love hiking in the forest & mountains. The scenery is beautiful & serene. The trail is pretty well marked, but I would not have wanted to do it the first time without a guide. Plus, we wouldn’t have found the amazing crotto for lunch on our own! Highly recommend, but not for people with any kind of mobility issues as the hike was over 10km & at times challenging to maneuver over the rocks and waterfalls due to recent rainfall.

Wonderful hike, great guide, and special lunch - We loved our guide Daniele from the start - knowledgable with a great sense of humor. Up the funicular to Brunate, then a moderately challenging hike (a little off camber and some storm washout) along the old roman paths, stopping for an amazing lunch in Piazzaga. We descended from lunch to the charming village of Torno where we picked up a boat back to Como.

GREAT hike!! 10/10!! - This day was definitely the best one we spent in the area. We wanted to feel the nature, be out of the crowds and visit some true local places. Too many desires? Oh no, we got everything and even more: a tasty lunch (I will never forget that goat cheese!) and a passionate guide like Fabia who is never tired of answering questions. 100% recommended!!

An adventure to share - The tour is perfect for small groups like families or friends to enjoy a wonderful day together. You will see amazing views, have excellent food for lunch, enjoy different means of transportation. Our guide Michele told us a lot of stories about the beautiful hamlets and the nature on our way... a key factor to cheer us up! Thanks Michele and thanks Daniela for the great food!!

A perfect day! - A beautiful experience far beyond our expectations. The perfect mix of good chat, wonderful views, interesting stories and delicious local food. Is there anything else you can ask for? Yes, a nice ride on a funicular and a charming boat trip! Definitely a perfect day.

An extraordinary day - The tour was simply unique. We walked through an ancient trail to see the beautiful hamlets and villages on the lake. The lunch at the crotto was amazing, with good food and good company! You won't regret taking part in this hike.

Beautiful hike in the woods - A beautiful day on the hills over Lake Como. Nice hike, great company and delicious food at lunch. The trip on the boat at the end of the day was the icing on the cake... another great chance to watch a wonderful landscape from a different point of view!

An exhilarating experience - Mikael was simply the most wonderful, kind, patient and attentive guide. He took us on a lengthy trail walk along ancient trails and Roman built roads for a total of 5.5 hours through the woods in the hills above Lake Como. Along the way he knowledgeably pointed out points of interest and historical sights. We stopped for lunch in a charming, family run restaurant where we had a delicious home cooked meal. Before you embark on this tour, keep in mind that you need to have stamina to complete this trek. However, if you are up for it, it is well worth it.

Wonderful tour over Lake Como - his tour is unmissable! The hike in the woods is beautiful, with unexpected views over the lake and, most of all, with the company of a friendly and knowledgeable guide. We really enjoyed the delicious lunch in a picturesque hamlet. And it was great, at the end of the day, to take the boat to come back and chill out a little watching the landscape. I don't think we would have found something better elsewhere.
