Additional Information
Our High Country Tour is the heart of Colorado Adventure. Since 1890 explorers have traversed Pikes Peak in search of Gold and a better life. Your tour follows the Short Line Rail Road Bed that President Teddy Roosevelt once embarked upon proclaiming, “The scenery bankrupted the English language.” Our Forest Service Permits allow us to go off-road, cross streams, explore tunnels and townsites of the Old West. Plan 3-3.5 hours and dress appropriately for this awesome adventure into the Colorado High Country. This tour only runs on weekdays to give you the best possible experience.
- At least 2 people are required for this activity to take place
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Tours depart on time. No refunds will be given to guests that are late for their scheduled tour

10⭐️ experience! - The tour was amazing start to finish. Buffalo Phil was our guide, and he was knowledgeable, personable and funny. Highly recommend this tour of the Colorado Springs area. Beautiful scenery, lots of history and a great adventure! Highly recommend😊

Definitely worth the tour - I absolutely loved this tour, we did the 4x4 Jeep tour and it was beautiful!!! Please prepare yourself for the cold weather especially as you go up the mountain. Layer up and be cozy! Views are absolutely breathtaking and the tour guide knows so much about the city and its history. You will have a great time!

Great tour for all ages - Truly a unique experience, the large jeep tour allowed us to see the best of the Garden of the Gods without having to stress about driving up a mountain pass. Cougar, our tour guide, was so funny and knowledgeable about the area. We really felt taken care of and we would do it again in a heartbeat. Awesome military discount as well.

Garden of the gods indeed! - The 4x4 Jeep tour of garden of the gods was amazing, worth every cent.
The tour guide (can’t remember his name, tall young white guy dressed as a cowboy) was very entertaining and showed us a great time.
Drinking the spring water from different points in manitou springs was another nice touch along with the detailed commentary at important points. The Jeep was comfortable too and perfect to get great views

Definitely ask for Tumbleweed for this tour - We went on a half day ride along the old Short Line railroad route from Colorado Springs toward Cripple Creek. It was an amazing jeep ride and we really enjoyed ourselves. What made it so memorable was our guide, Tumbleweed. He really brought the history of the route to life. He stopped and showed us good photo opportunities, even letting us pose with him and his (real) Colt 45 (unloaded) in front of Tunnel #9. We searched for a moose known to be in the area and old railroad spikes. We never saw the moose, but we did find one railroad spike. We enjoyed the ride so much that we want to come back for the full day version with some relatives.

Best sightseeing tour! - The scenery on this trip was outstanding!! Highly recommend this company! It was a fantastic trip! With the aspens turning yellow against the evergreen trees and mountains just breathtaking!
