After lunch, continue to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is the most revered site in Sri Lanka. Locally known as the Sri Dalada Maligawa, this place of worship was constructed in the 16th century AD. Housing the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha in this sanctuary, local tradition has long held that whoever possesses and protects the sacred relic is thereby empowered to rule the country.

• Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue - Later, visit the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue. Large statues of Buddha are prevalent throughout Asia. This particular statue is an important religious monument to local Buddhists and is honored with the lighting of oil lamps and garlands of beautiful and brightly colored flowers. The statue stands 88 feet tall and, on clear days, can be seen proudly from Kandy city, indicating its significance.
