Amazing fun afternoon - We were on a cruise ship and visiting Sri Lanka for the day, I booked this in advance, having read the reviews. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Visiting so many places. Our driver was such a lovely guy. We met other staff on our way and they were all so friendly. We fell in love with Sri Lanka that afternoon and will definitely return. If you do arrive on a cruise ship, please bear in mind that you need to go to the port gate to pick up the Jeep.

Perfect way to start our holiday in Sri Lanka - Having just landed the night before we were all a little light-headed from lack of sleep, but starting our jeep tour at 8am was the perfect antidote. Sisira, our guide, was extremely knowledgable, patient and kind. Our 2 sons, 9 and 12, had an amazing time, each taking turns to play shotgun. Loved the fresh coconuts bought from a street seller and the delicious Sri Lankan breakfast of Paratha, Egg/String Roti and curry. Mostly, just loved driving around Colombo in the coolest set of wheels going...

Awesome tour in the Rain - My Wife and I resently spent an afternoon on this tour in a 79year old jeep that was in perfect condition. Our Driver and tour guide where both full of interesting information about the origins of the city and the history of the old town. Due to a forecasted thunder storm we where given the option to have the return journey to our cruise ship via a VW Van. We both selected to stay with the Jeep. This was the best decission we made while on the trip. The perfomance of the the Jeep in the torrential rain was fantastic. Our driver found the quickest way back to the docks, which ment the Jeep had to navigate the back streets of Colombo, through over a foot of water in place. I did get wet but it was worth the drenching just for the experience. Thank you to the Colombo by jeep tour team. Nishantha you are one crazy man and we love you for it!

This is a unique and amazing way to... -
This is a unique and amazing way to see the city! One of the best experiences we had in Colombo with Sisira as our guide in a 1942 Jeep. He was full of interesting trivia about the lesser known sights of Colombo, very accommodating and it was a very enjoyable time with him. For those interested in actually driving the jeep, you can do so on the river banks while he points out the beautiful birds.
Sisira also helped us arrange transport the next day and overall we found him to be an excellent guide.
Highly recommend Colombo by Jeep if it's the only guided tour you take in Colombo!

Jeep tour of Colombo City - Novel way to get round the streets of central Colombo, experiencing the smells and atmosphere of the place. The driver was not too reckless and the guide Nishantha gave an inspired and fluent commentary on the interesting aspects of the architecture and customs. His delivery was enlivened by snippets of inside information imparted from enthusiastic local person. A memorable experience to be recommended.

Super fun and the open top jeep... -
Super fun and the open top jeep keeps you cool especially as the guys provide parasols. A great and alternative way to visit the fantastic city of Colombo. The nest thing was just driving through the outer part of the city en route to the bird sanctuary and witnessing daily life.

We had a fabulous day with Nish... -
We had a fabulous day with Nish after a very bad start due to our ship docking at the wrong terminal which resulted in us arriving very late and very hot at our designated meeting place. Once we had cooled down with a cold beer and THE most delicious prawns we were driven around Colombo. We were also taken to see his family home where we had lunch and met his charming family and saw his amazing collection of jeeps. After lunch we went on a great trip to a river bank where we saw many beautiful birds, huge Monitor lizards and buffalo after which Nish managed to get us back to the correct dock to pick up our ship. We have many happy memories of our day in Colombo but not least was getting to know just a few of the kind and hospitable people who live there. Thank you for looking after us so well Nish. You are a credit to your city.
