A Must-Do Experience – Waterfalls & Embera Village Tour - This tour was the absolute highlight of my time in Panama! From start to finish, it was unforgettable. Dan, our tour guide, was phenomenal—so knowledgeable and engaging. On the way to the waterfalls, he shared fascinating historical insights that deepened my appreciation for Panama’s rich culture and landscape. The canoe ride through the river was peaceful and scenic, setting the tone for the adventure ahead. Once we arrived, be prepared for a bit of a trek—walking over rocks and navigating some short climbs—but it’s all 100% worth it once you reach the stunning falls. Swimming near the waterfalls was absolutely spectacular—refreshing, serene, and surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. After our time at the waterfall, we traveled by canoe again to the Embera Village, where we were welcomed with music and dance. The hospitality of the Embera people was beautiful. We were served a delicious lunch—fresh fish and tropical fruit presented in a beautifully folded leaf, which added to the authenticity of the experience. We also had the opportunity to purchase handmade crafts and were treated to a traditional ceremonial dance that was both moving and joyful. This tour was hands-down my favorite experience in Panama. Dan’s kindness and deep knowledge made it extra special. Don’t miss this one!
