Additional Information

Trail Breaker Kennel, a family business that started operations in 1976, is among the most enduring kennels in Alaska. The late Susan Butcher, a four-time Iditarod winner, and her spouse David Monson, a Yukon Quest victor, set up this kennel in Eureka, Alaska.

Visitors have the chance to explore our historical kennel, interact with our mushers and sled dogs, and gain insights into the dog sledding sport. The kennel, situated just 10 minutes away from the city center, serves as an easily reachable gateway to the Alaskan wilderness.
