Join our experienced mushing guides for an exhilarating sled journey along the Tanana river, powered by a lively team of Alaskan Huskies. Interact with the sled dogs while taking in the breathtaking sights of Alaska’s wilderness. Our 1-hour tour provides you with the chance to stroke and harness the huskies, gain knowledge about the historical significance of dog mushing, and gain insights into current sled dog training techniques in Alaska.

Our route of the 4-mile tour meanders through the forested lowlands of Fairbanks and navigates onto the merging point of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Circulating around the vast, snow-crusted sandbanks on the icy river, multiple opportunities to capture pictures in the stunning, softly-lit winter landscapes of Fairbanks will arise. As we journey up the Chena river towards Trail Breaker Kennel, you will get a glimpse of the local architecture and gain an appreciation for the strength and function of working Alaskan Huskies.

From Airport Industrial Rd, turn onto Trailbreaker Trail and follow signs to our Winter Tour office located on the left hand side just as you enter the clearing by the lake.
