Great Island Tour - My guide's name was Nerline. She was at the hotel entrance fifteen minutes early waiting for me. I love that. Nerline and I started the tour right away. We went around the entire island and she pointed out so many things and explained the significance of the sights we were seeing as well as what life is like on both the French and Dutch sides of St Maarten. The old fort ruins, various ports, several beaches among other places, and several spots where she stopped the car and I was able to explore in more depth. It was an outstanding tour. Thank you so much, Nerline. You are the best. I highly recommend St. Maarten Pelican Private Tour through Viator.

Excellent tour. Our whole family loved it. - Shawn was a great guide and gave us an excellent tour of the island. We were 2 adults, 2 grand parents, and 2 kids. It was nice to have a large van all to ourselves and to move around at our own pace. I spent a little long at Maho beach waiting for two large commercial airliners to take off and Shawn didn’t mind at all. All in all, highly recommend this private tour.

Private island tour - I took this tour today. The driver's name was Richard & he was fantastic. Because I booked a private tour, he essentially tailored the tour to my needs. I didn't want to spend time swimming at the beaches we visited, but I did still see & photograph all of them. Instead, I requested a bit of shopping, so he took me to some markets. I had forgotten to pack deodorant & asked if he'd take me to buy some & he happily complied! I also asked if he could take me for some local food, and we had lunch at a local food stop in Marigot Bay. It was soooo delicious. The tour even went over the 5 hours, but he didn't complain or try to rush me. The 1 small issue I had was with the company car. Since it was a private tour that I paid for, I was expecting something a bit more luxurious. As a person with knee issues (which is why I booked a private tour, it was difficult getting out of the car at each stop because the back door wouldn't stay open & also it was small & hard to get myself out. Richard always helped me out though. I would definitely recommend this guide! He was very knowledgeable & totally accommodating. He was also very kind.

Excellent Private Tour!! Book now! - My husband and I had an amazing experience with our guide Nerline. She arrived promptly for our pickup time and greeted us warmly. Our tour started immediately as she started to share things with us in our immediate area that we were not aware of. I highly recommend that you take this tour on your first day on the island as we discovered so many hidden gems. We discovered so many places to return and explore in more detail. Our guide was amazing and we had a very pleasant experience. We highly recommend!!!

Great Tour!! - The tour was great!! Our driver was very personable and funny! (I think his name was Brandon) we visited some good sights, stopped at a French bakery and ate. My only complaint was the pick up location was confusing. Loved Mullet Bay! Definitely, enjoyed our time at the beach there!!!

Richard was phenomenal! Best tour around! - Very informative tour around the island. Richard was full of knowledge and fun facts while on the tour. He made sure to do what we wanted and things that would interest us personally. Richard made sure to explain each stop to us. We learn the history of the island and had such a great time with Richard. Couldn’t recommend him as your tour guide more! We really enjoyed our tour. Best part of our cruise so far.

Mixed feelings - Mixed feelings about this tour in St Maarten. This was a PRIVATE tour booking. When we arrived at the meeting place, after waiting a few minutes we were informed that there was an issue with a driver and were asked if we were ok with joining a "couple" other people for the tour. We agreed, as it was made to sound like it was only a couple others - it turned out to be a tour group of 15 people, not the small group we were lead to believe. The GOOD PART - Shawn was great. Super knowledgeable, charismatic and the company is very lucky to have him working for them. The BAD PART - I reached out through Viator to discuss the cost of the tour being adjusted since we did not receive what we booked and were immediately denied by the tour company. Viator noted they could not assist either since the provider denied the request. I am now left working with my credit card company to address this. It just put a damper on the day since we had limited time on the island, and were put onto a larger group tour, when we paid for a more personal experience.
