• Cabo Girão - Following the visit to Câmara de Lobos, the journey continues to the world’s second-highest sea cliff and Europe’s tallest (580m) – (1775 ft). Here, breathtaking views of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal can be enjoyed.
• Ribeira Brava Beach - The next stop is Ribeira Brava, a town that mirrors the character of the stream from which it derives its name. Ribeira (river) Brava (wild). The main attraction is the mother church, built in the 16th century and modified over time. It features a Flemish artwork and a valuable Manueline-style baptismal font. Along the sea promenade, the fort of São Bento stands as a town landmark, where visitors can enjoy a cup of coffee.
• Ponta Do Sol - The journey then leads to Ponta Do Sol, one of the sunniest spots on the island, featuring a charming village nestled in the steep valley folds, surrounded by dense banana plants.
• Posto Florestal Fanal - Ascending to Madeira’s mountain plateau, the Fanal forest is discovered. This magical forest often, but not always, shrouded in mysterious fog, is home to 600-year-old trees with twisted branches. Visitors gradually enter an extraordinary landscape enveloped in mist, creating a unique atmosphere. WEATHER PERMITTING, a 15-minute walk in the Laurel tree Forest is optional.
• Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools - Navigating a zigzag road leads to Porto Moniz, where the main attractions are its stunning natural pools. The promenade, stretching from the pools to the pier, offers delightful restaurants where local seafood and other delicious dishes can be savored.
• Miradouro do Véu da Noiva - After departing Porto Moniz, the journey continues to Brides Veil along the renowned north coast route.
