A bucket list experience - A complete experience - very interesting learning about the life of Gannets. Our tour guide (Mick) was outstanding and gave an excellent running commentary about the Gannets and the farm and features of the peninsula.

Must do activity in Napier - We had a wonderful experience seeing Gannets up close. I didn't know much about them before, but I learned a lot on the safari. Initially, I thought the trip was expensive. After attending, my family and I agreed it was worth it due to the beautiful natural surroundings and the tea, coffee, biscuits, and cookies provided at the end. Thank you so much!

AWESOME - The views are magnificent. Trevor is extremely knowledgeable about the Gannets and the places. He is a careful driver and very skilled in driving the big bus with manual transmission, thru the bumpy windy road to the Gannets’ nesting grounds. It’s an amazing experience to see these birds feed their young and how they find and identify their mate, out of the hundreds of Gannets sitting there. The coffee/tea and cookies were good. We totally enjoyed this experience. We’ll recommend this to our friends. And a big thank you to Trevor.

A unique experience for bird lovers - We loved this unique tour with our knowledgeable host/driver, Jan. There were amazing views in all directions as we first traversed farmland and then dramatic, coastal wilderness. It was amazing to view the gannet colony so close-up. We recommend the late afternoon tour as there was so much activity with the gannets returning to the colony from their day's activities. Some had better navigation skills than others gliding in gracefully rather than dropping like helicopters or overshooting the right spot completely. All so entertaining!

Fabulous experience - This trip is just wonderful! The tour is so well run, with great drivers giving such entertaining and informative information. I had Pete and he was fabulous. The drive through Cape Kidnappers is so picturesque and interesting, a great snippet of rural NZ, and also the protected sanctuary for native birds. Lots of gannets and beautiful views when we got to the our destination. Highly recommend especially if you’re coming in on a cruise ship and don’t forget to try the pikelets with cream and jam :-)

Well worth it!! - What an amazing few hours my Swiss friends and I had exploring this part of the Cape. I am a local and I urge you if you get the opportunity to complete this tour I would say 100% do it - the best $100 you will spend. What helped the afternoon was our fabulous driver and guide Mick so entertaining but knowledgabale about the land we had to drive over and the colony itself.Thank you for a great afternoon Mick.

Up close & personal with the Kidnapper gannets - An utterly unforgettable trip. Much of this thanks to the boundless knowledge imparted by our driver & guide, Mick, and his wit & charm. Top bloke. What he didn't know about gannets .... well, actually I don't think there was anything he did not know about the gannets. Or the local history. And the gannets were pretty amazing too.

Gannet's and spectacular views for the win! - Booking was so easy and staff were well organised for check-in. Yet again the scenery in New Zealand turned it on. Some spectacular views. Really enjoyed learning about the Gannet's and their migratory habits. The birds are so calm. Having a cup of tea with the Gannet's amidst spectacular views..... this is living Barry!
