- 25 Causeway Blvd - Our Dolphin Exploration Tours last approximately two hours and will take you from Clearwater Bay out Clearwater Pass on the beautiful emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico (weather permitting) in search of the Sun Coast’s favorite…the Bottlenose Dolphin. In addition to offering Guaranteed Dolphin Sightings, your Captain will highlight some fascinating facts about the natural wonders our Gulf Coast offers as well as point out celebrity mansions along the way. The tour offers something for everyone, including educational information on our area and our wildlife, and optional drink upgrades including unlimited beer and soft drinks for the adults! Just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride!
We ask that all guests check in to our booth 45 minutes prior to tour departure time. We begin boarding our tours 15 minutes prior to departure and always leave on time. We cannot wait for anyone who isn’t there by departure time.

Family Fun for all ages - This was a great experience for everyone I was worried about brining my 2 and 5 year old however it was plenty space, other kids and good music and vibes! Awesome family experience

Lots of dolphins - We saw alot of dolphins, friendly and knowledgeable crew. Definitely worth it.. highly recommend. We have been on other tours and didn't see a single dolphin.

Fantastic - Seeing the dolphins and the tour guide telling about the homes and who owned them. We were always in the know of where we could see the dolphins and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Wish I knew young lady’s... - Wish I knew young lady’s name that orated throughout tour because she was awesome! Very informative and friendly….all staff actually. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pics or videos of dolphins

Mission accomplished! - I paid to see dolphins, and I saw them😁The tour guide was brilliant! He was lively and engaging. The history about one of the bridges, MJ’s previous house, Tom Cruise’s home, everything about the real estate in the area, was enlightening.

Misinformed - We signed up for Little Toot tour but they pit us with a different company that wasn’t rated as good. We payed for one experience and got a different experience altogether. Tried to contact company and no response at all…..

Terrible Experience Turned Scary due to Poor Decision - Terrible scary experience 3/27/24 on the 4pm Dolphin Experience Boat Tour. A storm was forecasted for the same time we were to go out on our tour. I called the Tropics Boat Tours to voice my concern to see if they would cancel the tour and refund money. I was told the storm would push north of us and they would not cancel tour. We showed up as did others, many seniors, teens and children. The weather turned bad, as predicted by weather channels, with rough winds, lightning strikes and boat rocking. They had to turn around and end the tour 30 minutes in and announced they didn’t have proper staff to handle storm. It was raining so hard the MC said not to wait at the dock and hold everyone up getting off the boat. He said to telephone to reschedule or refund. I contacted them for a refund via text and was told “unfortunately, they cannot predict the weather nor refund my money!” They put the almighty dollar above the safety of their crew and passengers and I would never trust them again to take care of my safety or my family. Really, the captain and crew should be permanently suspended for negligence.
