Great overview of the City - We like to take the Hop On Hop Off Buses in large cities to get a feel for the area. Stockholm’s version did not disappoint. The 1 hour loop gave us a good overview of the major sites and helped to decide what to visit. We added a canal cruise and it was excellent as well.

Stockholm sightseeing - Easy and inexpensive way to see all the sights around Stockholm. Stand out stops are Vasa Museum and Gamla Stan.

Unreliable and in places non-existent. - I would not recommend going with City Sightseeing hop-on-hop-off. We booked our tickets in advance in preparation for our arrival via a cruise, there were 4 buses waiting but all with the other hop-on/off company, we were told the bus we wanted would arrive in 10minutes but it was not until 30minutes later. We were lucky to be at the front of the queue but others missed the bus due to the high numbers and were left waiting for who knows how long. Throughout the day there were very few city buses running to the extent that we found them so unreliable we ended up walking the 45min walk from the centre back to the cruise terminal, fortunately our cruise was staying overnight and subsequently we will be seeking alternative, more reliable transport tomorrow rather than use our already paid for 72hr ticket.

Does not deliver to promised destinations - First driver did not stop at and call out the stops, so we missed the one we wanted even though we rang the bell as we were passing the preceding stop (the stop we wanted turned out to be just a regular bus stop several blocks from the museum we wanted to visit, so even with the inexact map, there was no way to know we were approaching). Second driver did stop at and call out each stop, but at 4 p.m. he pulled over several blocks from the starting point and told us he wasn't going to go farther because "no more buses are running and that street is blocked." He waved his arm in the general direction of how we could walk back to the starting point.

Completely Disorganized Activity - Tour was simply awful. The only reason for giving an extra star is our drivers, who were very nice. It was a complete mess: delays. unspecified schedule, moved stops, etc. We almost got stuck at the Fjallgatan stop and only another bus delay (!) helped us to catch the last bus. Speaking with the tour management was not productive - they simply stopped speaking Emglish and walked away. The boat portion was better, but also with some unnecessary complications.

Very poor, wasted 90 minutes of our limited time in Stockholm before giving up and buying ticket for the other company. - Do not choose this company. You are likely to wait 45 minutes plus for a bus, in which time you will see two or three buses from the other company, which are also a bit cheaper incidentally.

Terrible service - Horrible drivers with zero customer service. Very rude and disrespectful people who work in tourism. Makes you not want to visit.

Avoid ths company - We booked the tour the day before and were told the 1st bus left at 10.00 from the Opera House. We thought we could also catch it at the Central Station but could not find the stop and asked 2 sets of people where it was - both directed us to the Opera House stop. We set off at a rush to get there for 10.00 a.m. This was awkward for my wife who has a heart condition. We got to the stop at 9.56 to be told the bus had left already. I was fuming. There was no reason for the bus to leave early. I was told it was doing a small circuit and would at a nearby stop in 15-20 minutes. The only redeeming feature was their young man Eyman. As well as leaving early we had been tod when we booked the last tour started at 17.00 from the Opera House, Eyman said this was incorrect -it was actually16.00 thus reducing potential usage time by an hour. I had tried to pre-book on the Internet but their website said they weren't available except Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They were actually running Wednesday and Thursday. Avoid this company- you cannot trust a word they tell you. Try the Alternative Red Hop On Hop Off buses.

AVOID FAKE TOUR - This is quite possibly the worst experience I’ve ever had as a tourist. One expects to be slightly ripped off price wise but at the very least you expect to get the service you have paid for. This bus “tour” is in fact just a bus that drives around random streets of Stockholm. The route on the website does not match the route taken by the bus. There is next to zero commentary throughout the 20 or so stops so you have no idea where you are at any time. My assumption is that the driver prompts the “automatic” commentary and if he doesn’t then it doesn’t happen. Our driver really couldn’t be bothered. He spent most of the journey talking loudly on his phone to his friends and paying little attention to the road or traffic as his sudden braking and erratic driving testified. We boarded the bus (the same one) twice during the day completing the full tour first time and then the majority the second time. The wait for the bus implies they can’t have more than two buses on the route. As the commentary was scarcely active we learned very little about Stockholm or it’s sights. In fact we resorted to following our progress on Google Maps and announcing each sight to the other passengers who were equally bemused and annoyed by this fake bus tour. PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS FRAUD OF A COMPANY Other bus tours are available!

Terrible - use the Red Bus instead - There is 1 of these buses for every 5/6 of the Red Bus Tour. When we got on the driver set off throwing us around. The route does not follow the one on the website or the one on the paper map you get when you board. The driver did not speak English so did not tell us about the headphones. I had to go down again to get some; more being thrown around. Worst of all is the WAITING. The timetable is meaningless. AVOID. Total rip off.
