Additional Information

Over-the-Rhine is a neighborhood rich in history, boasting incredible structures both on the surface and beneath it. Join us in our exploration as we stroll roughly one mile, making use of the streetcar to visit prominent above-ground sights like Findlay Market, Music Hall, Washington Park, and the site of Miam-Erie Canal. We’ll delve into its subterranean past, stopping by various locales overhead, such as Lafayette Brewery’s pre-Prohibition lagering facility and Cincinnati’s deserted subway system beneath Central Parkway. Additionally, we’ll descend three stories below ground, where the Gerke Brewery once fermented and chilled their beer in the 1850s. This part of the tour involves navigating a series of steep staircases and is inadvisable for young kids or individuals with mobility issues, though anyone partaking in the tour can choose to stay above ground. We will end our tour at a neighborhood taproom with a pint. Finally, we will head back to the Brewing Heritage Trail Tour Center.

Fun Day with Friends! - Such a fun and informative tour of the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood! I particularly enjoyed getting out of the heat and into the underground cellar, which was very cool temp-wise and also visually impressive. The beer at the end was a nice touch, thanks and I'll be back!

Great Tour of Over the Rhine. - Adam was our tour guide. He gave great details about the history of the Over the Rhine district. If you have difficulty with stairs this is NOT the tour for you. The best part was descending into a large, cave/tunnel that was used for storage of beer and other items. The tour ended with a stop at Sam Adams where we were given a free beer. Adam was knowledgeable and a lot of fun! I highly recommend this tour.

GREAT TEAM ACTIVITY - We did this tour for a team event with numerous individuals coming from out of town. Our tour guide, Adam, did a really nice job of giving everyone a flavor of Cincinnati's unique history. I've lived in Cincy for multiple years and even taken a separate tour -- and still learned quite a bit. Visiting the underground brewing caverns, Findley Market, Washington Park, and Cincinnati Music Hall and learning a bit about them was quite interesting. Nice blend of walking and tram. My team was MUCH MORE EXCITED about this than your typical Reds game and really enjoyed it.

Under and over the Rhine - The tour was a different tour False advertising by TripAdvisor which said there was minimal walking. Not true trip advisors fault as I bought ticket through TA . Streetcar was free to anyone. Not tour guides fault. Need to go directly through your company
