Join us in our exploration as we stroll roughly one mile, making use of the streetcar to visit prominent above-ground sights like Findlay Market, Music Hall, Washington Park, and the site of Miam-Erie Canal. We’ll delve into its subterranean past, stopping by various locales overhead, such as Lafayette Brewery’s pre-Prohibition lagering facility and Cincinnati’s deserted subway system beneath Central Parkway. Additionally, we’ll descend three stories below ground, where the Gerke Brewery once fermented and chilled their beer in the 1850s. This part of the tour involves navigating a series of steep staircases and is inadvisable for young kids or individuals with mobility issues, though anyone partaking in the tour can choose to stay above ground. We will end our tour at a neighborhood taproom with a pint. Finally, we will head back to the Brewing Heritage Trail Tour Center.
