Great for foodies - We are foodies so we loved going through the market and trying different flavors of food. We learnt about what food items were and how they were prepared. It was great having Shino to explain the history of the market and also tell us what the different fish and food was. She knew the best places to go and was friendly and helpful.

Great guide to the market - Keiko W was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, and she gave us a good sampling of different foods. The sushi and sashimi picnic at the end was good. The market itself was fun but like similar places in other cities such as Kyoto.

Couldn’t find meet up spot or contact host - We were unable to find the group for the tour (due to being lost in Tokyo). We ended up being 5 mins late to the 3 hour tour (walked past the meet up point by accident initially). I tried messaging and calling the number provided to make the tour leader aware/seek assistance and we were not able to get in touch with anyone. We walked around the meet up spot and also the road to the market hoping to catch the group and couldn’t find them. For all we know there was no tour that day, and Viator was not helpful. We even emailed asking if we could go on the tour the next day instead and received no response. When working with tourists in a new and large city, more flexibility is needed and at minimum a way to contact the group.
