You experience the wonderful, casual, down-home hospitality of an island native, who has the charisma and personality to be St. Croix's Director of Tourism and Commerce. Learning to select, clean, prepare, and eat crab is a true art form! Carmen and her great assistant Rochelle delightfully lead you along every step of the way, this while enlightening guests about some of St. Croix's culture and traditions. The evening is a refreshing change-of-pace from simply making a reservation at a restaurant somewhere and being served. You will not be disappointed - this is an evening you'll fondly remember while reminiscing about your stay in St. Croix. Do it!

She makes you feel at home while on vacation and shares her vast knowledge about local food, culture of St Croix and much more. Our favorite experience on our trip. If you are visiting St Croix, Crabs with Carmen has to be on the itinerary!!

Carmen was phenomenal!... - Carmen was phenomenal! Her home was beautiful, with fresh local fruits being grown and crabs being housed. The food that we all cooked together was absolutely delicious. We also learned a lot about the island together. Carmen herself is so welcoming and fun. She recommended other places for us to try during our stay that were also amazing ! Thank you Carmen for the amazing experience that you gave us !

Summing up the island Dream - Carmen was wonderful! The experience was amazing and I learned so much about the history of the island and culture. Lutz (Grandma) was an absolute delight and the food was awsome! Thank you so much Carmen!

five stars! amazing experience! - Crabs with Carmen was such an amazing experience! Her backyard is so beautiful and spacious! She has an outdoor kitchen, multiple tables to spread out, and a bar as well! The night was so well thought out and produced. She taught us about different local fruits and let us choose our own crab for dinner! It was so fun getting to prepare the food. Carmen and her crew were so warm and friendly, the atmosphere was great! I would definitely do this experience again when I travel back to the island!

I HAVE BEEN TO ST CROIX SEVERAL TIMES AND JUST EXPERIENCED COOKING WITH CARMAN...I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM THIS SHORT CLASS...IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SHORT COOKING CLASS THAT OFFERS INFORMATIVE INFO ON CRABS, SPICES, LOCAL FRUITS, CRUCIAN SLANG DEFINITIONS WITH AN EXTREMELY PROFESIONAL WELL ORGANIZED STAFF THIS IS THE PLACE! I ALSO LOVED THE CARNIVAL FIGURES THAT ARTIST ROCHELLE DESIGNED, I NARROWED MY SELECTION DOWN TO TWO AND BOUGHT BOTH OF THEM! ...BOOK WITH CARMEN, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! ON MY NEXT TRIP TO ST CROIX, ILL DEFINITELY BRING MORE FRIENDS TO YOUR CLASS TO EXPERIENCE THIS LOVELY EVENING!

So fun! - Such a fun evening cooking crabs with Carmen. The group was the perfect size; not so small it felt awkward and not so big that it was impersonal. We all had a fantastic evening hanging out and cooking and eating on Carmen's beautiful and well-appointed patio.

Definitely a fun experience - Great experience. Learned more about crabs that we didn’t know . The sauce for the food was what made it ! Definitely going to make this sauce when we get home . Carmen and the other staff helpers , Rachel , were all very sweet and entertaining. Something different to try when in St. Croix. The little tarts for dessert were also scrumptious! Would love the recipe for those as well 😊.

Great Experience - Carmen, Rochelle, Cynthia, and Glenn were great hosts. Preparing the crab and then eating crab with the sides was great. I would highly recommend. Lastly the background music by Gyasi Clarke was awesome.
