Evening dinner on the tram - highly recommended - We took the evening meal on the tram during a visit to Christchurch, and would really recommend this. The tram does 2.5 circuits whilst you are served a lovely three course dinner with champagne. The service was excellent, and the food quality amazing, especially given that they are working out of a tram

Great experience - Such a great experience, huge amount of local information from the tram drivers, had an awesome time with Elliot - a huge asset to the city of Christchurch. Well done Christchurch on bringing a little bit of your history into our lives. Get on and off, spend a little time looking around, it's worth it.

Worth doing! - A good way of getting to know the centre of Christchurch. Used the tram twice, different drivers/ guides but the stories scripted, a bit of a shame! I recommend Quake Centre as a stop off!

Pleasant city tour - This is a pleasant way to see the city centre. I dont think tickets can be bought online which is strange. Getting a seat may be difficult at times as it was busy but once seated then its an enjoyable experience

Beautiful day - Botanical Gardens were amazing— spent most of the day there. The tram was right outside our hotel which was very convenient.

Fun way to see the city sites! - The Christchurch Tram is a fun experience and a great way to see the city sites. Each tram is unique and can be structured differently (all seats enclosed, partially enclosed seating), capacity, etc. You can purchase your tickets online, at the visitor site, or when you jump on the tram. If you decide to ride the gondola or punt the avon there are package deals that will save you a bit. There are 18 stops on the tram path and you can jump on/off as much as you like - the tram always stops. It takes about 50 minutes if you stay on for all stops without getting off. Every conductor was very knowledgeable and did a great job pointing out the highlights of each stop, historical facts, etc. My experience today was a bit interesting and likely out of the norm. There were longer lines to get on the tram vs. simply walking and oftentimes they would tell us to wait for the next tram in 10-15 minutes since seating was full. There were two cruise ships that stopped in Christchurch and a peaceful protest that went through the streets of our pathway causing delays. After seeing the stops, most are a few blocks away from each other. Definitely walkable although the you'd miss the experience and commentary, which is worth it in my opinion. Definitely recommend!

Not worth the cost - Had to line up for over 2 hrs just to get on and not a lot to see as was just within the city Was a very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the price

Frustrating - Waiting for a tram that only ever came full and therefore we couldn't get on. We then walked through to several of the stops where the pattern repeated. A waste of money.
