Savor a scrumptious lunch at the Hermitage Hotel (POA) and enjoy a scenic walk in Mt. Cook National Park to see the Tasman Glacier. Visit the turquoise coloured lakes of glacial melt and snow capped mountains.
- A small amount of walking is involved so wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Approximately 2.5 hrs of free time in Mount Cook National Park for lunch, enjoy a scenic walk or your preferred activity.
- Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
- Fully guided tour except the walks in the Mt Cook National Park.

The most impressive day tour - This was the most impressive day tour we've had in Christchurch. Mountains, lakes, climbing to the glacier - all this is an unforgettable experience. Comparing with the famous lakes and mountains in Switzerland, I would say that in the Southern Alps, the beauty of nature is absolutely not inferior and more dramatic due to its scale. Our driver was very caring and there were many stops on the way, which was important for us, because my husband gets carsick. Snacks (chocolate, nuts, chips, water) given by the driver on the way, were also very useful. In short, we had a wonderful, unforgettable day and highly recommend this tour.

Worth it - The whole trip which a whole long day was littered with beautiful lakes and mountains in the sourthern alps , breathtaking and pristine beauty of nature on full display. Our guide Anuj was courteous , friendly ,helpful and informative as it was a long driving to reach the sites

Amazing day trip - Our driver and guide Anuj was amazing, he was very knowledgeable about the location and was really friendly. The stops on the trip are amazing and you get enough time at each place to have a look around and take some great pictures. Anuj provided snacks and water and you stop for breakfast and lunch. 100% recommend this trip to anyone visiting Christchurch!

Good option for family travel - If you are traveling oversea and not comfortable with driving in New Zealand like us, I think the tour is a good option. They have multiple pick up locations including our hotel. The driver was very knowledgeable and nice, and kept the trip on schedule.
The tour was long, 13 hours at least, had to spend long time sitting in the bus each way. The view of Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo really depends on weather during the day. It was very cloudy when we got to the lake, the view was not great as pictures. And we were lucky to see the beautiful view at Mount Cook with sun came out.

Beautiful experience - The tour is gorgeous! The glacier hike and surrounding area is definitely the highlight.
It's a long day, but the trip is broken up with stops along the way. Plenty of snacks and areas to buy food and drinks.

Worth every moment of the 13 hours trip - It was a wonderful experience from pick up to drop off. The driver was extremely helpful and informative and the breaks perfectly timed to break up what would otherwise have been a long long day. We definitely saw the best of NZ in this tour.

Beautiful views, too small bus - First of all, the tour guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable, explained things well, and kept us well informed on timing. The spots we visited were beautiful, especially the many views of Aoraki. However, the tour description never said anything about being gone over 13 hours and likely to miss dinner. And the seats in the bus were way too small, both width and length. I am not long legged and still kept smashing my knees the whole day.
