Incredible experience - It was a wonderful day out, Hammond really made it extra special with all his knowledge of the location and even surrounding areas, also with his incredible stories. Ross was also really friendly and helpful, driving us around, offering to take photos and chatting away. Would really recommend.

Kaiser crew - amazing experience - Was the perfect day adventure to Ederos, videos to talk about the filming and terrain. Pictures so you could see what the set looked like. 1 - 1 hr long hike to the top of Ederos and back. Beautiful scenery, our guide Natasha had great stories of the filming and how all the extras came to be even her and her friends played roles supporting the filming. Must do this tour if you’re a LOTR fan

Worth every minute - Absolutely gorgeous, breathtaking scenery by a very knowledgeable guide, Cheryl. You don't necessarily need to be a LOTR fan to enjoy the scenery, but it does help. A perfect day with still weather and sun to climb Mt Sunday. We got to spend plenty of time on the Mt.

Go Solo this is rip off! - Bus was very small and cramped for the duration of the trip. How this lot justify the price for the activities is beyond me. At the commencement of the tour the driver could not have been less interested in taking the passengers, endless commentary on Lord of the Rings extras or other jobs on the movie offer little entertainment. Being greeted with “Oh its a 3 hour trip to the mountains” sets the scene for a rushed and uninteresting trip that shows you very little. A word of advice to budding LotR enthusiasts, you will not see any sets or memorabilia on this tour, it is a vulture tour group cashing in on the locations for filming. If you would like to Journey to Middle Earth to experience where the Lord of the Rings movies were filmed then I would strongly recommend you hire a car and drive yourself. Hasslefree tours say that you get morning tea and lunch included, however what they fail to mention is that the morning tea is a muffin and a cup of instant coffee served by the local Country Womens association and Lunch is a lacklustre sandwich that is either eggs or ham and the odd banana. Hasslefree offer no pre selection to meet dietary requirements let alone just some basic choices, for the high premium being charged a far more artisan lunch should have been provided. The exorbitant cost of this day trip is not worth it and Hasslefree ought to be ashamed of the blatant fleecing of tourists. You should hire your own car and go your own way. The only highlight of this tour was when it ended, at the astonishing cost of $800.00+ USD for 2 people and not even a bottle of water offered. Shout out to the Mt Summers Tavern for the exceptional pie and sauce for lunch. The only thing that saved us.
