A trip of a lifetime - This was quite a thought provoking trip to the Sacred Valley of the Incas with Carlos as our guide. Everything was smooth and easy and the guide shared a wealth of information on Inca civilisation and Andean mythology.

Highly recommended - Experience of a lifetime. Thanks Carlos for making this trip a special one. We had a little issue with the altitude in Cusco and Carlos and his team managed to help us out and were very kind. The tour in itself was well planned and well organised with a remarkable tour guide whose knowledge on the local tradition was impeccable. It was a perfect day trip.

Thanks Carlos - A perfect day trip from Cusco to the sites in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with Carlos as our tour guide. He has excellent knowledge about the local traditions and customs and spoke good English as well. The tour included a visit to a local restaurant for buffet lunch. Overall it was a very pleasant trip and well worth the time and money.

Take at your own risk, quality depends on your guide’s performance and excitement of the subject! - This is a follow up review after the tour company has contacted me to rectify the situation. After my first review (which should have been lower rating, probably 1/5 stars instead of 2/5 which I was generous about) They contacted me and have returned 50 soles out of the 167/or $44USD. Which I paid originally and they told me that they have fired the tour guide that gave such poor performance. The tour is average depending on the company or the tour guide. Do this at your own risk and see for yourself. But honestly if you rent a car or find affordable transportation you can do this tour on your own and look up the history yourself.

Disappointed! And you don’t get to see the Salt Mine like falsely advertised!! DO NOT GO ON THIS TOUR! - The tour agency assigned our group a guide that was uncaring, unprofessional and pretty much knew nothing about the tour that we were doing. Right from the beginning he told us that he only does “Inca Trail” tours and that this is not usually his tour route and therefore right from the getgo we knew we were going to get a below average tour. The guide’s name was Richard or “Rick” however he wants to call himself. He pretty much was uncaring of the group. Every time we got on the bus if a person was slightly behind or late not even a 5 minute grace period he would tell the driver “okay let’s leave them behind and keep going” mind you the taxis and other means of transportation are very expensive and unreliable on these little remote towns. So he was pretty much leaving people to fend for themselves in a foreign country. He did NOT even have the courtesy of calling the people that were behind. He gave little to no knowledge about the archeological sites we visited, and you could tell he had no knowledge. He flirted with women on the street when we were on the bus for no reason. And the MOST disappointing thing about this tour is that we did NOT get to go to Moray Salt mines to take pictures up close like the picture and reviews show…. We paid the extra s$10 soles to get in and we only got to see them from far away from the high viewpoint. He gave us a B.S excuse about some tourists causing trouble a few days prior which made no sense. If we paid the full entrance ticket why not let us go down and get a closer picture? DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TOUR it is a waste of your time. You can pretty much visit the sites on your own and not have to pay for the stupid tour guide to give you almost no information or nothing more than you can find on a simple GOOGLE search. Next time I’ll just do that! Richard was TERRIBLE!! I would not even recommend him for an Inca trail if he is this inconsiderate and uncaring of his group.
