The very best way to see some amazing sights! - Our tour guide Aranzazu was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took us around all of the areas of Chichen Itza open to the public, shared the currently accepted archaeological history of the culture that built the city and lived there, and shared some of his own thoughts on the city and culture. He explained the iconography to look out for (the shapes carved into the stones) and how the iconography was used to communicate ideas. We spent several hours in Chichen Itza, and by the time we were done I felt like we were so much more informed and connected to the place than had we just gone there by ourselves - having a knowledgeable guide is absolutely invaluable when visiting places like this. After Chichen Itza we visited a local cenote (basically a sinkhole filled with water) that was operated as a swimming pool. It was a fantastic way to cool off and spend some time with locals and other tourists to talk about the area. Aranzazu was extremely helpful when we needed anything or had any questions. We also visited a local restaurant in Valladolid and had some delicious traditional Maya cuisine. Everything was covered except drinks and dessert, and our guide made sure we had everything we needed. He made some suggestions based on other things we like, and his suggestions were spot on - everything was delicious. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I highly recommend this tour company to anyone looking to see the sights in the Yucatan Peninsula.

Best way to see Chichen Itza - This is a truly top-notch operation. From the moment we made the booking until the day of our trip, the communication has been excellent (thanks Gabby!!). Our guide Juan was passionate about the Mayan culture and was incredibly knowledgeable. The car was super comfortable and spotless. The lunch that we had was outstanding and truly authentic. Highly recommend that you leave early, if possible to avoid the crowds and the midday heat. The trip was worth every penny, and would highly recommend to anyone considering going to Chichén Itzá from Cancun.

First class experience with a fantastic guide - We loved having a private tour. It was worth the extra money to arrive at Chichen Itza before the crowds and the heat. We left at 6:30 am and Abraham was waiting for us in the lobby with plenty of water for us to drink. Abraham was gracious and kind and very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We immediately felt comfortable. We enjoyed talking to him and he also gave us space to rest or do our own thing on the long ride. At Chichen Itza, he knew exactly where to take the best pictures and his pictures of us came out great. He also explained in depth about the Mayans which was fascinating information. I liked that he asked us why we wanted to visit Chichen Itza and then tailored the tour to our needs. He helped us get the souvenirs we liked the most (Mayan calendar and tree of life) at a reasonable price. He called ahead for food for lunch so it was ready when we arrived. It was nice to have the price of lunch included in the tour. The cenote was gorgeous and the water was clear and cool. Loved it. All in all a 10/10 experience. We would use My Quest Concierge again. They are great to work with.

Private tour perfect for travelling with a kid - Visiting Chichen Itza with Jony and My Quest Concierge was a delight. Organization in advance was a breeze via Whatsapp: all my questions were answered swiftly. Appreciated that they focused on us having a great, chill experience encouraging us to get moving early in the morning to beat the crowds and heat. Being in a private car with Jony was delightful, friendly and gave us great flexibility. Travelling with a five year old meant that the flexibility was key, and she was comfortable enough to fall asleep in the car en route and back (we brought our car seat) and we could cut the Chitchen Itza tour a little short when she got overheated. Jony did have us set up to take some lovely family photos at the Castillo right upon arrival before we were melting or surrounded by other folks. Lunch was incredible in Valladollid and swimming in the cenote after lunch was refreshing. All in all a perfect experience. I was glad I brought one of those waterproof phone cases to catch how stoked my kid was in the cenote

Great private tour of Chechen Itza by private luxury car and personal tour guide!! - We took the VIP Chechen Itza Tour with our tour guide Juan. It was an excellent experience. We left our resort early and beat the large crowds and traffic. Juan was very knowledgeable and very informative and intent on making sure we enjoyed the trip. We rode in a very nice vehicle and stopped for lunch at an excellent restaurant. The tour was a little more money than others, but the experience we had was more than worth the extra cost. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to really enjoy and experience the Mayan culture and ruins.

Day out to chichen itza and cenote - Prompt pick up from our hotel at 630am with Juan/Benicio in a Mercedes, water provided. Trip to Chichen Itzá was good, interesting chat with a phone call to Juans wife. Interesting walk around the Mayan city with some info from Juan. It was quiet when we arrived! No time on our own and steered to a pleasant local trader to buy souvenirs. Then it was off to a lovely cenote for a refreshing dip. We were given 40 mins and felt hurried through the experience. A shame as it was lovely there.. Finally in the car where the AC wasn’t working was lunch in Valladolid. We were taken to a lovely restaurant but there was no room despite apparently preordering. We were then taken to another restaurant that wasn’t as nice. Lunch was good. We ended up with a bill for over 400 pesos for our drinks. To put this in perspective on another trip, food for 3 with drinks was 700 pesos. Juan had put his drinks on our bill without being invited to. We had 10 free mins to walk one tourist street on our own after lunch, no time to explore the beautiful town, Then back to our resort by 4pm. Throughout the trip Juan was recording and listening to loud voice messages. This for us wasn’t a relaxing experience. In summary Chichén itza is an amazing place, the cenote beautiful but the trip could have been improved with an attentive guide and a car with working AC. It was advertised as a luxury vehicle.
