Wonderful! - Absolutely amazing! The personal attention, and obvious enthusiasm and wealth of knowledge of our guide made for an unforgettable day! I can’t speak highly enough of Senor Palafox and his care for every detail. He made sure to include our boys, 8 and 14, in the day and they were captivated and drawn to his every word. Truly a wonderful experience. I will surely recommend to anyone looking for a private, amazing tour!

Best day ever! - This experience vastly exceeded our expectations! Senior Palafox is so knowledgeable about Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula, and Mayan civilization and culture. Our group ranged in age from 9 to 73 years and every single one of us loved the tour! He prepared us with really interesting information on the ride to Chichen Itza, and with clear explanations of what we were seeing at the ruins. We were left in amazement at the complexity of and relationships between the Mayan architecture, calendar, astronomy, and society. The visit to the cenote capped off the experience. Every single member of our group included something from this day in their favorite memories! Thank you so much!

Private tour to Chitzen Itza - My family thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated Manuel’s tour to Chitzen Itza. His vast knowledge, willingness to accommodate all of our various needs and questions, and his approachability made the tour very special and memorable. The driver, Israel, was equally as friendly and added yet another layer of enjoyment!

Amazing Tour with a Very Knowledgeable Tour Guide - We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Jose Manuel to visit Chichen Itza, swimming in a cenote, and quick visit to Valladolid. We were picked up from the house we were renting in Playa del Carmen at 8:00 AM and were driven to Chitchen Itza. It is was a good 2 1/2 ride to get there, but the van was air conditioned. We were also offered beverages and stopped at a bathroom and shopping area on the way to Chichen Itza. We went on a Sunday, and Chichen Itza was very crowded. However, we arrived early, so it didn't take too long to get in. The Mayan ruins were really impressive. Jose explained Mayan history and beliefs to us. It was really wonderful to have him explain the Mayan ruins to us in detail. You can't really fully appreciate the ruins if you don't know the history behind them. After walking around and visiting all of the historic sites at Chichen Itza, we were taken to a cenote where there was also a buffet lunch. The buffet lunch was very good. We could sample many traditional Mexican dishes that were very tasty. The lime soup and fresh salsa and guacamole were particularly good. After lunch, we went swimming in a cenote, which was a very unique experience. This cenote was far down in the ground. You walked down a stone stair case to get in it. If you are brave, there is a spot you can jump into the cenote. Everyone is required to wear life jackets, which are provided. After swimming for about 40 minutes, we changed in the locker rooms and then headed to Valladolid. We were quite tired by this time, so we asked Jose to just have the driver drive through Valladolid and not stop. It was a very charming town with some nice shops. We were back at our house by about 7:00 PM. It is a full day tour, but it was worth every minute. I would highly recommend this tour, and you should request Jose Manuel. He was very friendly and an excellent tour guide.

What a fantastic tour! Our guide and... -
What a fantastic tour! Our guide and driver for the day was Jose Manuel Palafox Puc. He was so passionate about Mexico and provided us with so much information during the day, including a full guided tour of Chichen Itza. We also visited 2 Cenote's. He collected us on time and it was lovely to travel in our own minibus. He provided plenty of drinks and snacks to last us all day. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
