Highlights
  • Chichen Itza - THE PYRAMID OF KUKULCAN
The pyramid of Chichén Itzá is the biggest calendar in the world. Each side has 91 steps, plus one atop to enter the superior temple, for a total of 365 steps. At the north face takes place twice a year the descent of the Feathered Serpent. This light and shadows phenomenon is famous for its precision. Also, this iconic Mayan building is one of the New Seven Wonders of the World since 2007.

THE BALLGAME COURT
The ballgame was a significant ritual in dozens of pre-Hispanic cultures, especially in Mexico and Central America.

THE CARACOL BUILDING
This iconic Chichén Itzá building was an astronomical observatory. The stars movement was essential for the ancient Mayans in many areas, including architecture. El Caracol has a rectangular platform and an open dome where astronomers watched the Venus translation throughout the year.

Its streets - paradoxically peaceful and full of life at the same time - are home to historical precincts, large houses, museums, comfortable little hotels, markets, fountains, shops, ice cream and snack stalls, parks and many corners to explore.

Most unforgettable memories courtesy of Woody - Woody was our personal guide and he gave us the most memorable trip to cenotes, chichen itza, valladolid and then the best Mexican food we’ve ever had. He was very knowledgeable and just all around great. He took some awesome pictures that made this trip unforgettable. This is not only our first time in Mexico but the 1st experience outside of the country and we cannot thank him enjoy for his hospitality and was very affordable. Thank you Woody, we will be calling you for our next trip to Mexico.

Solo female traveler review - I had a lot of problems from my previous tour but then woody handled it all for me. He also did a private tour for me and im traveling solo to chichen itza and cenote suytun to even my special requests of fruits and made a point to find my mangoes and coconut water for me. He went above and beyond and was my photographer and help my bag and umbrella for me the entire day. Even brought me to pkaya del carmen to eat some tacos. He has a special touch and really cares and helps the tourists bot just because he is a tour guide, but he is a wonderful human being as well! Will come back and do more tours with him

Chichen Iza private tour and Jungle Adventure tour - Woody! Seriously, one of the nicest people in Cancun. My experience stated before I even left America with Woody answering ALL my questions and even reassuring me about the weather there! Lol We booked a private tour to Chichen Itza, cenotes and ended up going to Walmart to buy clothes for my son after his bag was lost. So i have to say above and beyond is an understatement. He happily babysit and pushed our stroller while at Chichen Itza, helped me get the best prices on souvenirs ( he is literally an expert 🤣) and I even called him at 7 pm wanting an excursion the next day and he made it happen! Book Woody, he will have your back through every single detail and even after! He is a real stand up guy!

Amazing Experience! - I came across Woody’s page on Facebook while planning my trip to Cancun. I messaged him directly and he responded instantly with lots of informations. He was very honest and upfront with everything. Ultimately we decided to do two private tours with him, Tulum and Chichen Itza. During our tour, he went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our tours. Overall, it was an amazing trip! Please do not hesitate to schedule a tour with him! Woody, you’re amazing!

Chichen Itza tour - Excellent experience. My girlfriend and i went on the Chichen Itza tour which included cenote ik kil, Chichen Itza, Cenote Suytun, and finished off at the city of Valladodid, respectively. We got picked up promptly at 6:45AM at our hotel in a 8 seater van, then got dropped off at the meeting point where the big tour bus was waiting. The bus was very big, comfortable, and clean. It had a working bathroom and very comfortable air conditioning. Our tour guide, Alan, was very interactive with everyone and very helpful. The price we paid included admission for all the attractions and a buffet lunch. Our tour guide spoke fluent spanish and very good english. When you arrive at Cenote Ik kil, you’ll have about an hour to explore and swim. Next, you’ll take a short drive to Chichen Itza where you’ll be given the opportunity to explore either a spanish tour guide or an english speaking one. You don’t have to go with the tour guide, but i highly recommend that you do. It was eye opening learning about the history and culture of the Mayan people. Really helps you see the ruins with a different perspective. After Chichen Itza, we drove about 45 mins to Cenote Suytun where the buffet lunch was served. The food was pretty good. No complains about the food. We spent about 2 hrs at Cenote Suytun, which included lunch and exploring. Lastly, we finished off at Valladolid for about 30 mins where you can walk around and grab some souvenirs and street food. We went in October 2021 when covid was still a thing, so masks were mandatory in the bus, but you can take it off when you are outside. Please be respectful of masks mandate as you are protecting yourself and others around you.

Private Family Tour - Chichén Itzá, Akumal, Valladolid - I highly recommend Woody! He & his beautiful wife took very good care of my family. They went above and beyond to make each adventure the most amazing experience. They were both gracious hosts, & very accommodating to our needs and diet limitations. We will definitely be using his tour Co when we return to Cancun next year! Thank you Woody!

Amazing tour/ guide and best communication from Woody. - Booked this tour with Woody Cancun Tours and it was great!. Woody was in constant communication with me to ensure our transportation was at our hotel ready to take us to meet the tour bus. The guide on this tour was great! Very humorous yet very informative. Chichen Itza was beautiful and the information received during the tour was excellent. During the tour we had were guided by Cristian. He was great and new all the perfect angels for picture. As we wrapped up this tour, we head to two amazing Cenotes. Definitely breathe taking! Bus lunch was included as well as nice buffet style early dinner at one of the cenotes. Absolutely breathe taking experiences. Through out the whole day, Woody maintained constant communication making sure everything was going smoothly.

Description was not accurate - The tour description was not accurate. It was not 12 hours but 16 hours. It was advertised that the maximum number of people was 40 but we got 60 people on the bus. It was never mentioned anywhere that the bus went to Carmen to pick up and drop off people. The tour didn't go to cenote Suytun as described, instead we went to a different cenote. Tour guides were good so we thanked them and paid tips.

Bad experience, not enough time. - We recently bought this trip and were a bit disappointed on what we got. For starter the bus was supposed to be a big bus with washroom and although our excursion started like that then we were transferred to a minivan where we were crowded and not even able to seat together. The first cenote was very nice and the tour of Chichen-Itza was also good although we had very little time after the guided explanation to walk the grounds on our own. Lunch was also in a Mayan restaurant where they wanted to charge us for the drinks even though our excursion had all the drinks included. For the second cenote we only had time to rush in and take a few pictures while we jumped in the water and then we ran to Valladolid where we were suppose to have some time to walk the town but we literally got there with 3 minutes to spare before we had to board to big bus back to Playa del Carmen. This tour does not have enough time to do everything they promise you when you buy it and as a result we got very disappointed with it.
