Fantastic Chicken Itza tour! - Great trip! Salvador made this trip perfect. His timing getting us to Chichen Itza was excellent... just before the crowds. He is extremely knowledgeable on all matters Mayan, as well as the flora and fauna of the area. He is patient, fun, and very accommodating. Great cenote experience, never would have expected it. And he took us to all the right places in Valladolid. Beautiful! And he arranged a fantastic Mayan lunch. Highly recommended!

Day trip to Chichen Itza from Tulum - Salvador was a wonderful guide. His knowledge of Chichen Itza was excellent. We had great fun at the Cenote he took us too. Finally a trip to Valodollid for lunch was lovely despite the heavy rain shower we got caught up in. Thankfully Salvador came to our rescue finding us with umbrellas whilst we were sheltering from the rain. The trip is a long day, but thoroughly worth the cost and early start.

A fun and interesting way to learn about the Mayans - My husband and I truly enjoyed this trip! William was easy to communicate with prior to the trip, very knowledgeable, and fun to talk throughout the drive. It was with the extra money to have a private tour. He easily guided us through each stop so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. We also had just the right amount of time at each location. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic Chichen Itza and Cenote experience! - A fantastic day with William taking us to Chichen Itza and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm. Picked up promptly at our hotel at 7.30am we were always one step ahead of the crowds, but never felt rushed. Chichen Itza is extraordinary and worth the long day. The Cenote was amazing! If you're considering a private tour would highly recommend!

Great Day Trip! - Excellent day trip from Tulum - our guide William Zotz (the Bat-man!) was brilliant; informative and entertaining. Transportation was comfortable and we were well looked after. Salvador and Best Maya Tours were also very responsive to pre-tour enquiries. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent private tour - I highly recommend this private Chichen Itza tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable about Chichen Itza and did a great job catering to our group’s needs (including my 80 year old mother in law, who can’t walk very quickly, and my 15 year old, who is sensitive to the sun and needed to find shady areas). He also accommodated our request to skip the cenote and visit a pharmacy instead (helping us find the best pharmacy for our needs). I was very glad that we weren’t on a bus with 50 other people!

Highly Recommended for Easy Sightseeing - We had a great tour with "Captain Snake"! He showed up on time to our hotel in Mayakoba, and was very flexible to however we wanted to manage our time through Chichen Itza, the Cenote, and visit to Valladolid.
Everything was included as part of the price with no surprises - entrance fees, tolls, lunch, etc; bottled water and snacks were provided too. Highly recommend if you want an easy, flexible, private day trip for sightseeing!

An Experience you do not want to miss! - What a great day! Alondra was our driver / tour guide the entire trip and she was fantastic! Early morning pick up from our hotel - on time and even stopped to let us grab a coffee / snacks. When we got to the site, she gave us a very informative session on the history and details of what makes it so special. Alondra then took us to a local lunch which was delicious. Lastly we ended up visiting the town of Valladolid where we toured an old church and walked the streets to experience some local flavor. Smooth drive back to our resort - I give this experience a 5/5 and Alondra was awesome!

Go private, incredible value. Take Best Maya Tours! Thanks Alondra :) - We took a full day tour, getting off to an early start - Our driver and tour-guide Alondra was right on time, arriving a few minutes early to pick us up from the resort we stayed at in the Hotel-Zone in Cancun.
She was incredibly patient, kind, and courteous. At each step of the trip she went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable (does anyone have to use the restroom, is anyone hungry or thirsty) and ensured that we got the best use of our time. We lingered a bit at Chicen Itza because we were really enjoying it, and she was very knowledgable about the history and was very obviously passionate about it.
We stopped on the way out in Valladolid to explore a bit and have lunch at an outdoor cafeteria which had lots of great options, and the food was delicious. Alondra took great care of us here, helping us order, and making sure that we had everything we needed at our meal. After we left Valladolid we headed for a Cenote Oxman, one of the most beautiful natural wonders I've ever seen. She rested a bit and let us take our time, it was incredibly refreshing. We stayed in the cool water until we were all ready, and then headed back to the resort.
Alondra our guide was conversational, kind, and compassionate. I think going forward, we'll try to make all of our trips in Cancun through a private booking group like BestMayaTours, because of how comforting it was throughout. The value difference between a group trip and private excursion would be hard to overstate.
We're super thankful to Alondra and very glad that we were lucky enough to have chose Best Maya Tours.

Best Tour and Guide EVER! JUST BOOK IT - This was way more amazing that images or words can describe. Seeing all the gliphs especially on the skull wall and in the arena was a huge surprise. I didn't realize these things were so detailed!
I actually cried a little when we saw this. Just breathtaking. Our tour guide, Salvador, is so knowledgeable...not just about these artifacts but about the wildlife and so many different things. I am SO GLAD we did this tour. We chose to go private tour because we didn't want to waste time picking othwr people up. Turns out, you probably learn a lot more when it is private as well because you can just truly dive in and immerse yourself in the whole experience.
You really feel close to the sun here, you literally feel like bacon sitting in a pan...but the scent isn't nearly as delicious.
Salvador, our amazing guide, navigated us through buying the stupidest souvenir that I demanded on getting.
The cenote was AMAZING. Such cool clear water and the little rope to fling into the water was SO MUCH FUN! I am TERRIFIED of heights into water, but Salvadore was the perfect calming effect and I managed to fling my pathetic wimpy self into the magnificent water. And then I went again! Haha!
Tasted the local dishes, the black meat is some sort of minced meat and black sauce, IDK what it was but it was all really good. The empenadas were my fav.
The green drinks you see are chaya (mayan spinach) mixed with pineapple and orange juices. Quite possibly the best tasting beverage I have ever had.
On a scale of 1 being "DON'T GO HERE" and 10 being "I will never see anything this amazing on my life!" This is a 10. If you are unsure about booking this one, consider this the kick in your behind. Do it! NO RAGERTS!
I will update this review when I get pics from Salvadore. These are just a few we took.
