Chichen Itza in Maya means “Mouth of the well of water witches” and it is one of the major archaeological sites of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Other prominent buildings are El Caracol or also known as the Observatory, the Group of the Thousand Columns, Church, Temple of Venus, Temple of the Jaguar and the Ball Court, the largest built throughout Meso-America. Know this place in the approximate two-hour guided tour and then have some free time to explore on your own.

FUN FULL DAY WITHOUT FEELING RUSHED - This was a wonderful FULL DAY experience with our guides and driver! We chose this tour specifically because of the early pickup & early arrival to all the sites- to better experience everything with less crowds & we were very glad we did as they told us Sundays chichen gets upwards of 8000 visitors! Another factor in our choosing this tour was the amount of time we were allotted at each stop was more than many other tours I saw. We were very pleased to have time to learn with our guide as well as be free and explore for plenty of time at each stop without feeling rushed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable. We felt safe the entire day. We were very glad to have this more authentic experience off resort and highly recommend to those visiting the area!!

To Chichen Itza and beyond - Very happy with our tour. It did entail a very early start (5 am), but this was necessary to ensure we reached Chichenitza by early morning-the best time to see ot before the temperature got too high. All credit to our driver, Jorge who arrived bang on time and was polite and helpful throughout the trip. Our guide, Jesus was knowledgeable and entertaining and worked hard, we felt, to deliver an enjoyable experience to his clients. Highlights of the trip were the temple ruins, of course, but also the visit to the cenote-the memory of swimming in that deep pool, with thecsunlightcl streaming down through the trees and illuminating the surface of the water will stay with me for a long time. Overall no hesitation to recommend this tour.

Great overall - Great experience with this team! I loved that we were early to places, before it got crowded. Also loved the small number of people in this tour that made it feel like a private tour

Great excursion and tour guide Alberto! - Be prepared for a long drive! We were picked up at 6 am in our hotel in Playa Mujeres and had to pay an extra $20 USD per person because of our hotel location. We were the only English speaking people on the tour but our tour guide Alberto made us feel welcome and made sure we were well taken care of! Our van had only 5 guests + 2 staff so we were definitely comfortable throughout the long ride. The buffet lunch at Cenote Ik Kil was sooo good!!! We decided not to swim, but they had lockers and well maintained facilities. Chichen Itza was a little underwhelming (we thought it would be much bigger) but we were lucky to get a private tour from Alberto since we were the only English speakers. We were too tired to go around Valladolid but it's a quaint little town! Overall we love how everything was on time and we got back to the hotel in time for dinner at 7. Great excursion and tour guide! Thank you Alberto.

Disappointing experience on last day in Cancun - Awoke early to be in the lobby for a 5:30am pickup. Started leaving messages for tour company at about 5:50pm and later for Viator. The tour guide responded to a message and was surprised we hadn’t been picked up yet, but she hadn’t either. She later called back to let us know the bus had broken down and the tour was cancelled. I understand that situations like this can happen, but neither the tour company or Viator were proactive about anything. I did receive a message later that my request for a full refund would be honored.
