Great way to make a century's worth of art approachable - What a great way to learn about art through the perspective of character development and narrative flow. Kelli uses her gift of teaching to great advantage. Her meticulous research and knowledge of a beloved film gave us a memorable way to take in an iconic home of art. No overwhelm, just a great afternoon at the Art Institute.

I went with my sister and 15 year old son and we all learned something about how this 2 minute scene was so significant in the movie and to the Director. Do not miss this if you are in Chicago. Unique Experience Combining Art and Film in Chicago - I really enjoyed the Ferris Bueller tour at the Art Institute! I am a long-time museum member but this was a unique experience, linking specific works of art to scenes in the movie. The multi-media (iPad) was hugely helpful, especially since I hadn't seen the movie in a very long time. I loved hearing all the behind-the-scenes tidbits from Kelli and actually watched the movie on Netflix later that night!

For fans of Ferris B, John Hughes, Chicago, and the arts. The best walking tour I have been on in a while! - I took The Art of Ferris Bueller tour and thoroughly enjoyed it. I give it my highest recommendation. I am telling all my friends and family to take it (and other Chicago Movie Tours)...and soon! I have seen Ferris Bueller's Day Off dozens of times, but after taking this tour, I was inspired to go right home, watch it again, and look for all the things Kelli taught me about it. Kelli is one of the best tour guides I have ever seen. Taking a tour with her is like having a conversation with one of your smartest, most observant friends and/or your favorite college professor. She uses a lot of clever techniques to keep her guests engaged too. On this tour you will learn about some of Chicago milestones, art history, and all about the choices film directors make when creating their art. I loved it!

You Don't Have to Be a Ferris Bueller Fan to Take This Walking Tour - The tour operator is an expert film guide for the locations and background details on this iconic movie. The famous paintings depicted in the movie were so well explained for theme, color scheme, symbols, and many other fascinating bits of information. She shared many more facts about the director and actors, and discussed not only the scenes in the Art Institute. The guide uses her tablet to support the lecture when showing film scenes. I look forward to future events with ChicagoMovieTours.com
