Additional Information

Explore the renowned architectural wonders on Michigan Avenue and State Street. The period from 1890 to 1930 witnessed the birth of some of Chicago’s most iconic structures, with a vast majority highlighted in this tour.

Following the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893, Chicago was fueled by ambition to develop into a prominent cultural and commercial city. This tour serves as a tribute to the aspirations of that time. Discover buildings crafted by noteworthy architects such as Daniel Burnham, Louis Sullivan, Holabird, and Roche, and delve into the tales behind these architectural marvels.

Visit some true gems in Chicago - Paul S gave a great tour. Visited exteriors and some interiors on Chicago building built between 1880’s and 1930’s. Park gave interesting information in the construction and backgrounds of the buildings as well as information on the architects and developers. Went into some buildings I had walked past dozens of times over the years and never knew the beauty inside. Highly recommend the tour

Beautiful Loop - Really fun and interesting tour. As a Chicago native, it was fun to learn even more about the wonderful architecture of the city. I have done the river tour many times and decided to take this walking tour to hear some history that I may be missing on the river tour.
