Upon reaching the indoor skydiving site at Chicago’s Lincoln Park, begin by donning the supplied equipment and partake in an in-depth instruction session courtesy of a qualified flight tutor.

Master the art of safely hovering in a 1,400-horsepower vertical wind channel that produces a continuous cushion of air, a tool frequently used by seasoned skydivers. Immerse yourself in the excitement of skydiving without the need to leap from a plane, irrespective of your experience level.

After entering the confined arena of the flight cylinder, a channel specialist gradually increases the wind velocity until both you and your tutor are off the ground. As the ‘free fall’ takes off at wind speeds scaling up to 180 mph (290 kph), embrace the adrenaline rush. The consistent wind current prevents you from slipping off the air column, while your tutor is perpetually available for assistance. The initial flyer experience lasts approximately 75 minutes. Each slot accommodates up to 12 participants, however, you get to fly solo with your tutor in the wind channel twice for 60 seconds.

• If you have previous neck, back, heart, injuries or shoulder dislocations, are pregnant or wearing a hard cast - you will not be able to fly.
• In order to provide a safe experience for its customers and instructors, iFLY may not be able to accommodate flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs and will not be able to accommodate flyers whose weight exceeds 300 lbs. Upon check in for flight reservations, additional evaluation by local staff will be required to determine if flyers between 260-300 lbs can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply.
