Fun and informative - The CAC always provides in depth, informative, and exceptional tours—volunteer guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and full of midwestern charm. Have done dozens of tours in Chicago—the CAC holds the high bar.

Like strolling with a very knowledgeable friend - I just finished the What’s New walking tour through Streeterville led by my favorite docent, Mary Jo Hoag. I’ve known Mary Jo for probably 10 years and I’ve taken many of her tours including Graceland Cemetery, the Inland Steel building , the Fine Arts building and today Streeterville. Since Mary Joe researches and writes many of the tours herself, she is especially knowledgeable and for this tour she was able to talk to several of the architects who designed the buildings we saw and had inside information. I was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour so it was like strolling through the neighborhood with a friend. I’m always happy when I find out Mary Jo is going to be my docent and I look forward to taking more of her tours.

A hidden neighborhood to explore - A very informative and well presented tour juxtaposing older gems with new ones to give context to our built environment. Darcy was a wonderful leader and at the finish wrapped up all we had seen in a great synopsis. The weather was pretty miserable, but she didn’t miss a step and neither did we. Just an excellent experience!!

Something different - Really interesting tour of immediate area north of river and east of Michigan Ave. Not just buildings but the architects, the materials and things that have changed in last 100 years. One of the best docents and tours that I have taken
