- Wat Umong - Temple of the tunnels and Buddha Dhamma garden - or Umong Temple located just west of Chiang Mai city near Doi Suthep mountain. The temple was abandoned during the 15th century. In 1948 the temple was restored and was reopened as a center for meditation and Buddhist teachings. The temple’s setting in a forested area with a natural lake makes Umong temple an excellent place for meditation. You will learn and practice meditation in the tunnel about 10-20 minutes. If you prefer not to, you can skip.

We depart from your hotel at 02:30 p.m. to Wat Umong (Suan Buddha Dhamma) - Temple of the tunnels and Buddha Dhamma garden or Umong Temple. The temple’s sitting in a forested area with a natural lake makes Umong temple an excellent place. Then, we visit Palad Temple, Finally, we visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep or Doi Suthep Temple. Experience the monks chanting which is a very spiritual experience. Enjoy the magnificence of the temple with Golden Chedi glowing and spectacular views of Chiang Mai city and its surrounding as sunset. A must visit !

Wonderful temple tour!! - This tour was wonderful! Our driver & tour guide picked us up & dropped us off at our accommodation. Peter, our tour guide spoke great English & gave us so much history about Chiang Mai & Thailand & the temples there. It was incredible to witness the monks chant & go inside all of the temples! Thank you Peter!!! We had a great time!!

Educational, Spiritual, Intriguing - This was an AMAZING tour. When I booked it I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Our guide was wonderful. We went to 3 temples, and each one got better and better. It was such a great break from being in the bustling chaos of the temples in Bangkok. These temples are 100s of years old very quiet and meditative. The icing on the cake was at the end when we got to experience monks chanting at Doi Suthep, which is on top of the mountain overlooking Chiang Mai. A very beautiful and spiritual experience. Highly recommend!

Temple tour Experience/ Chiang Mai - Our last Temple tour of our trip to Chiang Mai with the BEST guide Mr.Noom who was punctual, VERY knowledgeable and fun! Our driver Mr. Boo was courteous, friendly and always had a new bottle of water and hand towels for us after each stop.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience.

Pick up and drop off were on time... - <p>Pick up and drop off were on time. The driver managed the conditions up the mountain well. He had a good sense of humour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English well. The first two sites were very interesting, not so touristy or busy even on the weekend. The tunnels were a bit too busy for meditation so we meditated at another place which was extremely quiet and peaceful, allowing us to take in the sounds of nature. I previously visited Doi Suthep earlier in the same day so I wasnt expecting much but I got to see a lot more compared to the morning. We saw monks chanting at around 6pm and the view from the viewpoint was much better.</p>
