- Grotte Is Zuddas - Arrive at the magnificent Is Zuddas caves, preserved in such a way that they seem frozen in time. During the 1-hour guided tour, admire the naturally formed stalactites and stalagmites, which are the main attractions drawing visitors to the Is Zuddas caves. After the tour, enjoy a traditional Sardinian lunch. It’s recommended not to eat too much at breakfast as a generous amount of food will be served.
- Porto Flavia - The final stop is Porto Flavia. Discover how a remarkable team of miners, skilled in explosives and rock climbing, was assembled. They worked tirelessly in shifts, day and night, to complete the excavations in record time. Despite the lack of safety measures to expedite the work, no casualties occurred during the construction phase. As the tunnel lacked angles or trenches, the usual dynamite drilling technique was unfeasible (these angles and trenches typically provided shelter during explosions). Instead, small cavities were excavated at regular intervals to offer workers cover after igniting explosives. These cavities remain visible during the guided tour. The workers began drilling the upper gallery, 37 meters (121 ft) above sea level, using dynamite and mechanical drills (many mines at the time primarily relied on pickaxes) until they reached the sea.
