A very polished, professional tour by Richard our tour guide - Our tour guide, Richard, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. There wasn’t any lengthy walking which suited my son and I and Richard always stopped to talk in carefully chosen quiet areas of the town. I really admired Richard who seemed maturer than his age and obviously very intelligent and conveyed the history with enthusiasm. We particularly enjoyed being able to examine different weapons including arrow head types etc. It was a fascinating experience and Richard was the perfect tour guide.

Would go again - Richard was our guide. He was high energy (In a good way) informative and all round great guy. His outfit was amazing. The tour was long enough so you felt you were getting your moneys worth but not so long that you got bored. Great for kids and adults alike. Would rate 10 if ba went higher. (Ps while waiting for the tour to begin the tour shop was very fun for good price)

A glimpse at a hidden history - Steven Bower was amazing. He adjusted the tour based on what I'd already seen since I was lucky enough to be the only one on the tour at the time I went. All the information was well explained and the descriptions and examples of the weaponry was really intriguing. I loved learning about the battle of Shrewsbury.

History comes alive! - Our day in Chester was all the better for the fabulous walking tour with Richard, our own Cheshire Archer. This was a very informative walk and over two hours my wife and I were immersed in the story of the 'Hotspur' uprising against Henry IV which vividly came to life. Absolutely great. Thank you.

As above. - Our guide only had two people in his party, but he did his job very well and kept the interest through-out. He spoke a lot about Mediaeval warfare and had detailed information about the weapons and showed us replica arrowheads, which were used for different purposes. When I returned to my hotel, a friend who does archery, told me that the crescent-shaped arrowhead was used to maim horses so that the knights would fall and could be killed. Perhaps you could pass this information on to the guide?
