Fascinating find - I enjoyed my visit to this quirky museum. Lots of fun, interactive displays to keep kids and adults busy. Be careful of the displays you can smell, those odours will linger! You'll learn a lot and be very grateful for modern medicine. Friendly staff too, definitely worth a look if you're in Chester.

An amusingly macabre diversion. - I visited Sick to Death with my partner anticipating tacky haunted house infotainment, and that's exactly what I got. The gory foam props of severed limbs and eviscerated bowels were charming, if a little worn from overeager handling by past customers. Good for photo ops! A couple of the interactive exhibits were in a state of disrepair, which was a little disappointing; still, as a walk-through decorated with grisly medical tools and infographs about bubonic plague, it was entertaining enough to keep us happy for the 50 minutes or so it took for us to get from start to finish.

It was a nice experience - My 10 years old daughter loved being there and we enjoyed and got some information about medicines, infections and organs.

Worth a visit but could improve. - Worth a visit. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. My only criticism is that it's a bit 'tired' looking - a few things were not working, pieces were missing or broken etc. An attraction like this with many visitors and interactive elements needs regular upkeep. I'm not sure that's happening as much as it should. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it and learned a lot.

Something Different To Do In Chester.. - The concept is brilliant but unfortunately it needs a lot of TLC. The photos on here from 2021 show the potential it could be. Some displays are damaged or missing and the computers/tablets were not working. There was also a lot of reading which the children quickly tired of. However, there were still interactive things they enjoyed like the toilet seats and identifying smells. The building in which it’s in is absolutely stunning. The lady who greeted us at the entrance was lovely with the kids but I do wish the next family weren’t let in half way through the tombstone ghost introduction as I felt we rushed down the alleyway to accommodate the family behind us. For £16 for an adult and two children I can’t complain for a different way to spend a couple of hours on a Sunday. Unfortunately I would only visit again if the place was given that much needed TLC.

April - Bit disappointed really. Some of the displays could do with a bit of a repair, some of the torches didn't work. Enjoyed the interactive side. We got discount due to our jibs but I would have been gutted if I payed full price

Too much writing. - The first part of the experience was great. 'Diagnosis Alley' was what I was expecting, but there wasn't much of it. It was very impressively themed to look like a dark, disease-ridden alleyway, although the UV writing wasn't particularly easy to read. The autopsy room was where it went downhill. 6/7 big plaques on the walls with quite hefty chunks of writing on each. Lots of names included which didn't really add much. A tv in there also showed videos of what we assume were the same as what was on the plaques, from what we overheard. The mannequin in there was a bit worse for wear. Fingers ripped off, one of the organs on string was missing. It looked quite cool anyway, and the look of the room itself was interesting to be in. After this room you walk in a snaking fashion to the exit. This walkway took up about 2 thirds of the attraction. There are more plaques heavily loaded with information on the walls either side of you, all along the walkway, with a few visually interesting areas, eg toilet lids opening or parts of mannequins showing various diseases. And to our surprise, even these areas had hidden essays to read through. For two adults who love history and things of this sort, this attraction was not very fun. Too much info to take in, we ended up walking through the end bits without reading anything as it became incredibly draining. We wouldn't recommend this for kids, especially as it's very quick to walk through without reading all of it. Unfortunately you can see the potential this place has, it could be 10x better with half the writing and a few more mannequins.
