D-Day Tour Guide of Normandy—beaches/memorials/band of brothers/American cemetery - What a wonderful, extremely qualified and knowledgeable D-Day tour guide. Not only did he give an incredible tour which was on our bucket list, but he was patient and kind with us. Opening doors, providing umbrellas and simply just sweet. His knowledge opened all of our eyes and gave us an elevated experience of the most historic day in history. We will be recommending him to all of our close friends and family for sure! Thank you so very much!

Absolutely AMAZING!! - This private American D-Day guided tour with Boy Eysbroek was perhaps the most comprehensive and informative tour I have ever been on anywhere in the world! Boy met our party of 5 at Cherbourg cruise terminal, spent the entire day, roomy, comfortable van. Boy was a veritable encyclopedia of relevant and interesting details regarding D-day, the beaches, the landings, the battles, the whole thing. Personable, engaging and attentive, with a great delivery. Our first stop was Ste Mere Eglise and that stop alone made the trip worthwhile. We spent plenty of time there and at each subsequent stop. We knew we had chosen wisely when we were at Ste Mere Eglise and we witnessed a string of tour buses (no doubt from ship) come and go with barely enough time for those folks to even get off and on the bus before it moved on. Had a wonderful lunch at local establishment.

The best way to see history of the events of June 1944! - Our cruise ship stopped her in early November and we wanted to see the D-Day memorials but didn't want to book a large bus tour. Are we ever glad we booked this tour! Boy was a great guide and took us places that we could have not gone with a tour bus. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate above the events that lead up to and after the invasion. Probably the best part was taking us to the American Cemetery an hour before closing so that we could see the lowering of the flags and the playing of taps. A fitting way to end an amazing day

Great experience with Boy - This became an outstanding experience. Boy was quickly responsive to emails while we were trying to get a group from our cruise ship established. He was respectful of previous inquiries so as to not book the first person who paid until the first person who inquired was satisfied. He met us at the cruise terminal in Cherbourg as stated and gave us a wonderful tour of the American WWII beaches and sites. While in the van he wore a microphone so those in the 3rd seat could hear his commentary. He speaks 5 (?) languages and his English is perfect and barely accented. He could answer every question we asked. When we saw other tour guides at the sites, it was clear that Boy was well liked and respected by his colleagues. He made a deliberate effort to interact with each of us personally. The time at each site was just right and no shopping stops. Everyone in our group of 8 was very pleased with our choice of tour/tour guide. Definitely we all would highly recommend Boy and Neptune Battle Tours.

Amazingly friendly and knowledgeable. - Boy was amazing. He picked my wife and I up at Carentan train station to help us get to our next destination. His trip was amazing, he was knowledgeable and had great stories. We had just finished Band of Brothers before coming and he was able to adjust the tour to show us some sites related to that.

Highly Recommend - A small group of us hired Boy for our tour of the Normandy WWII sights. He met us promptly at the cruise ship terminal in Cherbourg and had us back well in time for the "all aboard." For weeks before, he communicated with us frequently and answered all our questions. Our group of 8 could not find a question that Boy did not know the answer to. His knowledge of D-Day, the events and significance, is encyclopedic. And yet, he never talked too much. I appreciated that whenever we walked around as a group, Boy made a point to approach each of us from time to time to speak to us individually. He encouraged questions. The only issue I had was the stop for lunch. We were herded into a large restaurant that caters to bus tours. While the food was fine, I would have liked to have had options - a couple smaller places were within walking distance. Boy could have pointed out his preferred place, mentioned their popularity with the larger tours, but also then suggested alternatives. We paid a more-than-reasonable fee for this 7-hour tour. Compare that to what the cruise ship charges for a much larger group experience. Don't let the sparsity of reviews deter you from booking Boy. He has been a tour guide for many years, recently starting his own company.
