Our cultural evangelist will explain his contribution to Indian philosophy, his belief in harmony of religions. His stellar work in acting as a bridge between the ancient and modern worlds.
• Vasupujya Swami Jain Mandir - Vasupujya Swami temple is a Shwetambara Jain temple and has an impressive architecture. The temple is dedicated to Lord Mahavira and the other 24 Tirtankaras (spiritual teachers). The temple has a spell binding ambience and adds to the religious diversity of Mylapore.
• San Thome Church - The walking tour in Chennai brings us to the principal church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Madras & Mylapore. Its a mesmerizing experience inside the neo gothic style Basilica. The shrine preserves a small bone and the lance that pierced through Saint Thomas in the year 52 and that is indeed the highlight of this Chennai walk.
