Discovering the Blue City: A Family Adventure in Chefchaouen

Dinner on the first night was included and served at another Riad/restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Moroccan cuisine. The kids were adventurous with their food choices, trying dishes they had never tasted before. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to experience new flavors and learn about Moroccan culture through its cuisine.

Exploring Tetouan and Beyond

On the second day, we set off for Tetouan, a city known for its spectacular architecture and Spanish influence. The drive took us through a dense hardwood mountain forest to Oued Laou, where we stopped to enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the stunning views of the red mountains and turquoise sea. It was a refreshing break that allowed us to appreciate the natural beauty of Morocco.

In Tetouan, we met another local guide who took us on a walking tour of the city. The kids were intrigued by the blend of Spanish and Moroccan architecture, and we all enjoyed learning about the history of the area. The timing of our visit was perfect, allowing us to explore the city at a leisurely pace and take in all the sights.

Before heading back to Tangier, we had the opportunity to discuss with Aissa what we wanted to see. He recommended a visit to Cape Spartel, where we were treated to a gorgeous view of the Atlantic Ocean. It was a fitting end to our adventure, leaving us with lasting memories of our time in Morocco.
