Chefchaouen, also known as The Blue City, is a serene locale nestled in the Rif Mountains of Morocco. It was established in 1471 by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa as a haven for Spanish refugees. The city’s main allure lies in its simple yet breathtaking beauty, its labyrinthine streets, ancient sections, and the whole blue hue that engulfs it, which makes it an ideal spot for tourism.
Our trip includes notable sights in the city such as the famous Kasbah. Here, we’ll explore the ethnographic museum that’s perceived as the city’s standout cultural monument. Walk through the winding blue streets of Medina and head towards the local bazaar for a first-hand experience of the authentic local tradition.
No visit to Chefchaouen would be complete without savouring some delectable traditional local dishes on one of the city’s finest terraces against the backdrop of a stunning mountain sunset.
