Highlights
- Charlotte NC Tours - This address is the location of our main office and is where the tour begins. (Map error - ZIP CODE is 28202) We are located ALL THE WAY INSIDE the ONE SOUTH AT THE PLAZA building at 101 S. Tryon St. (Same building as THE OMNI HOTEL.) Up two short flights of stairs to the far left of Walgreens and Which Wich (NOT up the escalator).
- Bechtler Museum of Modern Art - We view the OUTSIDE of the museums on S. Tryon St.
- Mint Museum Uptown - We stop in the area where our major Uptown museums are located.
- Fourth Ward Park - We ride through the Fourth Ward Park after viewing some the 18th/19th Century architecture.
- The Green - We ride through this quirky and popular park right at the end of the tour.

Embark on a thrilling Segway tour through the vibrant Uptown neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina’s largest city! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We provide comprehensive and meticulous training to all guests BEFORE we kick off the 1.5-hour journey. It’s ENJOYABLE and SIMPLE! Follow your local guide and navigate your way around the city, taking in the unique architectural designs, artworks, parks, and historical sites. Our city is enriched with intriguing history that you can witness firsthand on our Segway tour. Select a 1.5-hr or 2-hour trip (limited availability for the longer duration). This is a highly popular and exciting tour of Uptown Charlotte, however punctuality is key, as we may not always be able to cater to late arrivals. PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR. APPRECIATION IN ADVANCE!!!
- MUST BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR! Arrive 30-45 min. before start time for training!!!
- Minimum suggested age is 12 years old, but MUST weigh at least 100 lbs.
- For participants under 18, they must be with a parent or responsible party 21 yrs or older and have a signed waiver from a parent
- Minimum weight is 100lbs so the Segway computer can respond to your movement.
- Maximum weight is 280lbs.
- Dress code: Ideally wear comfortable closed toe shoes (though not required), weather appropriate layers, and no hats under helmets. Gloves recommended on cold days
- No pregnant travelers are allowed
- NOT recommended for those who might struggle in VERY HOT weather.
- NOT ALLOWED FOR PREGNANT PARTICIPANTS!
- NOT recommended for those who’ve had somewhat recent hip or knee replacements
- NOT recommended for those with unpredictable blood sugar issues.
- Participants must be able to stand for 1.5 -2 hrs and be able to climb stairs unaided.

Segway tour with Isaiah - This was such a great tour. Isaiah, our guide, was fantastic! We learned a lot about Charlotte’s history. The experience was one that we will happily share with our family and friends. If you get the opportunity, go on this Segway tour. Not only did we learn new things, we had so much fun doing it.

Great Historical Tour! - Although we are CHARLOTTE residence, there was so much we did not know about Uptown. The guide was excellent and taught us many things about the history of Charlotte. Highly recommend this tour and the SEGWAYs were really fun to drive.

Excellent tour experience - Excellent tour! We had a lot of fun. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the instructions on how to ride and be safe on a Segway were very good. Would definitely do it again.

Good Experience - We just did the tour recently and it was great. Ron was very knowledgeable with 45 years of Charlotte Experiences. Highly recommended and we will book a different tour next time when we are in the area.

Fabulous Tour - I took the 1 1/2 hours Segway tour and it was absolutely terrific. Riding a Segway is unbelievably fun, and this tour was particularly great because of our tour guide Rod. He has expansive and interesting knowledge of Charlotte, is an excellent communicator, and is just a fun, nice guy. It was like being led by one of my close friends, except I don't have any friends with knowledge of Charlotte! I would do this tour again in a split second.

Outstanding Segway tour! - What a great way for a first-time visitor to get introduced to Charlotte. We felt we really got a sense of much of the city in a 90 – minute tour. A wonderful way to begin our visit to Charlotte.
And Rod was as good a guide as anyone could hope to have: He was patient in teaching us how to use the Segway, was knowledgeable, had an endless supply of interesting stories about various facets of the city, and generally was a lot of fun. He even provided restaurant tips for us at the end of the tour. Rod made the tour a very memorable experience.

Amazing Segway Tour by Isaiah - This experience exceeded my expectations. Isaiah was super knowledgeable and had fun facts throughout the whole tour. It was very easy to ride the Segways and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who’s looking for something unique to do in Charlotte.
