- Charlotte NC Tours - This address is the location of our main office and is where the tour begins. (Map error - ZIP CODE is 28202) We are located ALL THE WAY INSIDE the ONE SOUTH AT THE PLAZA building at 101 S. Tryon St. (Same building as THE OMNI HOTEL.) Up two short flights of stairs to the far left of Walgreens and Which Wich (NOT up the escalator).
- Bechtler Museum of Modern Art - We view the OUTSIDE of the museums on S. Tryon St.
- Mint Museum Uptown - We stop in the area where our major Uptown museums are located.
- Fourth Ward Park - We ride through the Fourth Ward Park after viewing some the 18th/19th Century architecture.
- The Green - We ride through this quirky and popular park right at the end of the tour.

Embark on a thrilling Segway tour through the vibrant Uptown neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina’s largest city! NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We provide comprehensive and meticulous training to all guests BEFORE we kick off the 1.5-hour journey. It’s ENJOYABLE and SIMPLE! Follow your local guide and navigate your way around the city, taking in the unique architectural designs, artworks, parks, and historical sites. Our city is enriched with intriguing history that you can witness firsthand on our Segway tour. Select a 1.5-hr or 2-hour trip (limited availability for the longer duration). This is a highly popular and exciting tour of Uptown Charlotte, however punctuality is key, as we may not always be able to cater to late arrivals. PLEASE BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR. APPRECIATION IN ADVANCE!!!
- MUST BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR! Arrive 30-45 min. before start time for training!!!
- Minimum suggested age is 12 years old, but MUST weigh at least 100 lbs.
- For participants under 18, they must be with a parent or responsible party 21 yrs or older and have a signed waiver from a parent
- Minimum weight is 100lbs so the Segway computer can respond to your movement.
- Maximum weight is 280lbs.
- Dress code: Ideally wear comfortable closed toe shoes (though not required), weather appropriate layers, and no hats under helmets. Gloves recommended on cold days
- No pregnant travelers are allowed
- NOT recommended for those who might struggle in VERY HOT weather.
- NOT ALLOWED FOR PREGNANT PARTICIPANTS!
- NOT recommended for those who’ve had somewhat recent hip or knee replacements
- NOT recommended for those with unpredictable blood sugar issues.
- Participants must be able to stand for 1.5 -2 hrs and be able to climb stairs unaided.

Excellent fun - even for locals! - This is one of the most fun experiences. I’ve done in a very long time! Working in uptown Charlotte since 1998, I frequently walked by Charlotte NC tours in the Overstreet mall and have wanted to take a Segway tour for ages opportunity, finally presented itself when our group of friends decided to stay uptown to celebrate my 50th birthday. Rod was our tour guide on a beautiful sunny Saturday morning and he was fabulous from the start. He took plenty of time to ensure we were well trained with the equipment and what to expect, which is important to me since a previous scooter incident didn’t go so well, haha! Spent the next 90 minutes, whirling us all over uptown, showing us the sites. I was particularly impressed with his knowledge and all the information he had to share, particularly because we’ve lived here so long now, and thought we knew it all, well spoken, articulated, and made the trip immensely enjoyable, I look forward to participating in the activity again and I’m especially looking forward to Both the ghost tour and the holiday tour he described to us. We highly recommend Charlotte NC segway tours- ask for Rod! Scott & Andi

What a fun way to tour Uptown! - I highly recommend this tour. I learned a lot about Charlotte history. It only took a few minutes to get used to the Segway and away we went! Our guide Isaiah was informative and engaging. Now I want to take a Segway tour in every city I visit!

Great experience with Charlotte NC Tours! - Had a fun time with our tour guide Isaiah. He made sure everyone in our group was comfortable with riding the segways.
He was very knowledgeable about the history of Charlotte and loved his theatrics while he was telling the stories.
Received several communications prior to our tour about directions, time and other reminders.
I would highly recommend Charlotte NC Tours.

Charlotte Segway tour - Amazing Day in the City! - Had a fantastic Segway tour of Charlotte! The experience was great from beginning to end! Carol, the business owner, was friendly, engaging, and provided a wealth of information that facilitated getting to the tour location, parking, etc. She then provided us with an overview of how to ride safely and what the tour would entail. From there, she and Isaiah, our tour guide, provided us with training on how to ride the Segway. They made us feel confident and comfortable! The tour itself was excellent! Isaiah led us safely through the city. He has a wealth of knowledge and provided us with a great deal of information about Charlotte's history and its evolution over time to the great city it has become! And the fun Segway ride was an absolute bonus! Thank you, Carol and Isaiah, for a wonderful experience! You made my first trip to uptown Charlotte an unforgettable one!

Great morning round Charlotte - We had a fantastic time with Rod who put our minds at ease despite us having never been on a Segway. He couldn’t have been a better tour guide too with great knowledge of the area. He’s lived in beautiful Charlotte for 45 years and so also knew a lot of local residents. A few restaurant recommendations included too. Only downside was that a couple on the tour from the US were late to arrive despite a clear start time. Rod dealt with it fantastically but there is no reason to be late especially when we’d come from the UK and managed it!

Rod was the best! Don't miss this tour if you're in Charlotte! - Segway tours are my favorite! But this one was particularly good. We had Rod for a tour guide. He was so patient and experienced at giving us the best tour ever. We even had somebody on the tour that wasn't comfortable on a Segway, he was able to put one hand on her unit and steer her as she went with us the whole way.

Stellar Segway tour in Uptown - We had a wonderful time on our tour with Rod! After a short safety video and practice maneuvering our Segways, we were on our way!
Rod was entertaining and informative. He shared his knowledge of Charlotte as well as some fun personal stories.
We felt prepared for our trip around Uptown and always felt safe.
I live in Charlotte and anytime I have visitors from out of town we will try to schedule a tour with Rod and Charlotte NC tours!
