Tamdhu Station - First Dram - Embark on a journey to our hidden gem by the River Spey, where Mitch shares captivating stories of Speyside’s whisky smugglers and illicit distilling, accompanied by your first dram of the day.
-
Cardhu Distillery - Dram Two - Make your way to Cardhu Distillery, where you can enjoy a specially chosen dram while taking in the breathtaking views of the Speyside hills. Discover the fascinating history of this distillery, founded by Helen Cumming.
-
Glenfiddich Distillery - Dram Three – Our next stop is the renowned Glenfiddich Distillery for the third dram of the day. As a leading name in Scotch whisky, it’s an excellent place to enjoy the scenery, sip a unique dram, and explore the distillery grounds and shop – ideal for finding a bottle to take home. On the way, we’ll pass the atmospheric ruins of Balvenie Castle, and if we’re fortunate, we might see some Highland cows posing like seasoned locals. It’s a quintessential Speyside experience – combining whisky, history, scenery, and shopping in one dram-filled visit.
-
The Balvenie Distillery - Balvenie Distillery – As our whisky adventure continues, we pause to admire the historic Balvenie Distillery from the outside – one of the few remaining distilleries in Scotland that still practices traditional floor maltings on-site. With its cobbled courtyards, working cooperage, and charming old-world ambiance, Balvenie is rich in Speyside heritage. We’ll discuss its close ties to Glenfiddich, its distinctive cask maturation process, and why it’s cherished by whisky enthusiasts. It’s a picturesque and storied stop on the journey – the kind of place that invites you to linger (or sneak a dram, if only it were allowed).
-
Craigellachie Bridge - The Perfect Shot - Pause at the iconic Craigellachie Bridge for a dram in one of Speyside’s most photographed spots. This Thomas Telford masterpiece has overseen whisky’s journey through Speyside for centuries.
-
Aberlour - Final Stop – We come full circle back to where the adventure began – the Speyside Whisky Shop in Aberlour. It’s the ideal place to conclude the day, with shelves filled with rare finds, local favorites, and a few bottles you may have sampled on the tour. Whether you’re picking up a souvenir, seeking a dram recommendation, or simply savoring the last moments of Speyside magic, it’s a perfect ending. We’ll drop you off right outside with a head full of stories, a nose full of whisky, and (hopefully) a bottle or two in hand.
