History Buffs - this one’s for you - Our guide, Evans, provided an inspired, engaging, and comprehensive tour. If you plan on spending a week in Charleston, I would recommend grabbing a spot early on your trip as this was a perfect intro to what the city has to offer. If you are lucky enough to get Evans as you guide, consider yourself fortunate. He knows ABSOLUTELY everything about every nook and alleyway and weaves in rich historic local perspectives. Honestly, it might be the best guided tour I’ve been on. A pit stop at Dock Street theater was memorable, but as a native to historic neighborhoods of Philadelphia, I most enjoyed the all the sneaky city cut-throughs and learning tidbits only a local would know.

Loved every minute - What a gift to see historic Charleston through the eyes of Evans Byrd, a masterful tour guide. He is a great storyteller and is passionate about the history of this town. Those things, plus sprinkles of plant knowledge and neighborhood goings on made this tour a truly rich (and sometimes touching) experience

Best walking tour I’ve ever had - Evans Byrd has to be the best tour guide I’ve ever had (including Myself—x-NPS interpreter). Knowledgeable, passionate, great story teller. He had us eating out of the palm of his hand with the stories. The walk and alleyways were beautiful. The history thought provoking. The pace perfect. Great recommendation for a post-walk drink at “R” Thanks for a great Charleston visit!
