A Must Do - I booked this adventure months in advance and I am so glad I did. Impressive. If you’re looking for something grown and sexy, this is it. This ain’t no bar, ain’t no club. This is for the off beat folks who March to a different drum. As a fellow creator, I was watching Art being made in front of my eyes.

Don’t miss this experience - A fantastic evening not to be missed. Began with a half hour in the Charleston Historical Society Museum; very interesting information. The host of the dinner, dressed in period clothes, made all the dishes himself. So much delicious food from different periods of 1700’s and 1800’s actual recipes. He explained about the kind of foods the people ate back then and the spices, ingredients used. Dinner was highly informative (lots of history information too) and delicious. And we were able to take leftovers home. A most delightful host and experience, well worth the price. I’d give 10 stars!

Best of the Best in Charleston - We live about 2 hours from Charleston and so we come in a couple of times a year. We wanted to do something different and I read the reviews on this event and took a chance. We were not disappointed! This by far has been the most fun, informative and delightful evening we have spent in Charleston. Mike as the host was delightful and the food was delicious! This is a not to be missed experience. I would highly recommend.

Great for foodies and history buffs - This was the best thing we did in Charleston. Mike is an exceptional cook, host, and historian. The long community table and family style serving allowed for getting to know your neighbors while enjoying as much of the delicious food as you as you want. Very enjoyable evening

Favorite thing we did in Charleston! - This is such an amazing experience! Mike is a fantastic host. You get to visit the Fireproof Building & Museum after hours and look around before you go upstairs for dinner. Dinner was delicious. Mike talks you through South Carolina and Charleston history in a really interesting way (I'm not from Charleston or South Carolina and felt like I could follow everything he was saying). My favorite part of what he shared was the culinary history!! Sharing where these recipes came from, why they're seasoned this way, why these ingredients were popular, how this meal would have been served, chefs in the area, etc. I've never heard history told from that perspective and it was absolutely fascinating. I left wanting to learn more! Mike does these dinners often and is always changing the meal so I would definitely rebook this experience every time I'm in Charleston to try new historic food and learn more!

History and taste buds meet - There really is no way to express the fabulous experience and culinary delight we had in doing this. History isn't usually experienced through food, but this gentleman has done it with great gusto, in which, each great dish only got better with the next great dish. This is more than a 'tasting'. It is well worth the time and the price. HIGHLY recommended! You must book ahead. Space is limited.

Enjoyable Supper Club Experience - Communication before the event was great as due to filming on the street of the venue, our entry to the building was altered and we received emails. Upon arrival we we greeted warmly by the host, Mike (in period dress) and given a short history of the building and its unique features. Thereafter, we had 30 minutes to enjoy the South Carolina Historical Society Museum. Dinner included 7 courses from the 18th and 19th centuries and Mike provided very interesting, detailed history of Charleston area, it’s people and the food of the 18th and 19th centuries. The food that we received was tasty and plentiful and we enjoyed the replica china and flatware that we used. During the dining portions we had a chance to meet and interact with the other ten diners who were all from different places throughout the country which was enjoyable. A unique, truly enjoyable experience that we would recommend to family and friends.
